This announcement is so *L*A*M*E* that I actually logged on just to complain! Haven't posted to macrumors in months... had to figure out what my password was!

As a Beatles fan (whom has already imported all their Beatles CDs to their library years ago) this is good news for Apple - but it is NOT as great as an iOS 4.2 announcement would be for us at the moment.

Wow. Their marketing is a MACHINE.

People that are hoping for another announcement - tough luck.

The homepage will update in around 5 minutes with

"The band that changed everything...now on iTunes"

with a download link to iTunes and a slideshow of Beatles pictures.

Still a worthwhile announcement - gives iTunes a massive advantage over other digital music stores esp for the casual Beatles fan who doesnt already own their collection.

Wow, you actually got it! xD

That must have been tough for you. You know, putting in the CD and hitting one button (Import CD). I think it's ridiculous that apparently a whole bunch of people delayed listening to The Beatles for about eight years because they were too lazy to import a CD.

That would be me! Not lazy though - just busy and technologically challenged! So - YES - I am excited! :D

I think Steve Jobs was writing that line to his ego. It's an Apple milestone - Apple Corps(e) has succumbed to Apple Inc. At last. Steve's ecstatic. Shame that can't be said for the rest of us. Onwards, people...

The Beatles hate here is kind of scaring me. What is wrong with you people?

The band is irrelevant to some of the previous generation, most of the current, and all future generations musical tastes.

I'm not sure who to dislike more, the media for hyping Apple's "event" or Apple for thinking me so dumb to be excited over this? Boo to both!

LOL a day you never forget? You can now DL the Beatles on iTunes cause you never heard the music before till you get it from itunes.

Cheaper for a CD on amazon and better quality if you rip into iTunes.
