heh good luck with that! One of the reasons I sold my Android phone was because of slowness of htc to make a 2.x rom available. There is still nothing even though v.2 released several months ago.It doesn't really matter what I want, they've already done what they're going to. If they don't raise the bar high enough, I will consider other phones. AT&T is getting several android phones, it will be interesting to see how they stack up.
This is exactly what we need here. Another 4.0 thread.please search!
A 75 megapixel camera
A 31 day battery
Dolby DTS surround sound
A 13.3" screen
A physical keyboard
CD ROM
Front and side facing cameras
Fingerprint reader
And a new SRT-8 engine.

I want the new OS to be able to tell people that there are already 100's of threads out there like this
This.Hey Rumor-ers:
Thought I'd start a thread on the things that you'd DESPERATELY like to see in OS 4.0. Limit your list to three things.
Mine are as follows: Multitasking, Android-style notifications, UI redesign.
Why? What's wrong with downloading the Facebook in combination with push notifications? One of the things that makes iPhone OS very good is its slim and sleek appearance. Facebook integration makes it more bloated.- Facebook integration
I would like better notifications
...
- New, redesigned springboard/home screen
- Redesigned system for notifications
- Apple GPS navigation app with turn by turn directions and lane guidance
- Local notifications
- Dashboard widgets
- System-wide voice recognition, revamped Voice Control (make it easier to activate, its a PITA to hold down the home button in the car)
- Multi-tasking (even if the App has to be certified for it)
- Facebook integration
- 720p output with TV menu system (like Zune HD, apparently the 3GS has the hardware to support this)
- AirSpeakers support for iPod app
- Over the air via Apples servers firmware updates
- Over the air via Wi-fi syncing with iTunes
- Support for Bluetooth keyboard profile
- Ability to turn off landscape mode
- Ability to minimize streaming QuickTime audio and multi-task in Safari
- Ability to turn off the annoying This device is not made for the iPhone. message per device.
I want to be able to have MORE THAN ONE EXCHANGE ACCOUNT!!!
Please.
Thanks.
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)
..snip
whatever security crap will satisfy my employer that I should be able to get rid of my blackberry.
actually; I'd settle for just the last one.
There are a few security hurdles to overcome, but be careful what you wish for. One of the fist things a company could insist on is no app installation by user. I know my company would. You might wind up with a iphone with just calendar, mail and notes (no sms). LOL
I'm not desperately wanting anything in OS 4.0. Yeah, there are some things I would like to see, but it hasn't reached the point of desperation.
LED light for notification.
I'm the same way. I'm happy with iPhone OS as it is. Sure there's some additions that I'd welcome but nothing that I'm sitting and twiddling my thumbs waiting for.
I will buy the next iPhone if it has this. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied hardware-wise.
