My iPhone 2 Prediction Thread - Take this to the bank!

Hardware
-Higher Resolution Screen
-Slightly Better Processor and More Ram
-Matte Back
-No Chrome Bezel
-Larger Storage Capacity
-Better Camera/Possible LED Flash?

Software
-Completely Re-Done Notification System
-Refreshed Look (I'm thinking the blue, glossy and pinstripe look is gone)
-Addition of Folders (A place to put games and another for work apps ect.)
-Multi-Tasking (It's going to look alot like Palm's system)
-Lockscreen Information (See the weather, view emails and texts ect.)

These are pretty safe, but I have no doubt they are all correct and are coming to the iPhone 2 this Summer

iPhone and iPhone Nano.

I reckon there should be an iPhone Nano. See my previous post for an image.
This should come in 8GB or 16GB, and I've decided to design mine in the same style as the iPod Nano 5G. Features:

- 5MP Camera w/ Xenon Flash (They've got the technology, seriously)
- FM Radio w/ Live Pause (Like the Nano)
- Longer Battery Life
- 21:9 Widescreen (Perfect for films, which is what most of us watch anyway)
- 3 Colours
- Doesn't have to be as thin as the iPod Nano
- OLED Screen

Oled

If they made the display OLED it would be fantastic. They are incredible with true black instead of grey. Also they use a lot less power so the battery would last a lot longer or they could make it a lot slimmer. if you haven't seen an OLED display then it is hard to understand just how superior they are. Think old CRT to new LED backlit LCD panels. That is how much better OLED is compared to LCD. No backlighting, no breakage problems...etc.

Notification light, multitasking, some sort of iPhone-only messaging (like BBM).

That's it. Not asking for much.

I don't know if it could be done in an update rather than have to wait for the new phone, but I wish that the accelerometer could be disabled, where a rotate gesture (using 2 fingers) could be used in it's place.

When listening to headphones and changing albums whilst walking, I find more often than not that 'coverflow' comes on in landscape even when I have the phone upright, very annoying grrrr.

Aside from the above:

1. 5mp camera with led flash
2. 64gb hdd, or 32gb with micro sd support
3. stereo speakers (landscape)
4. better battery

I think the only thing apple should do is make a twitter page of similar for people like us to put suggestions to them... i no Infinity wards did it when they were developing Modern Warfare 2.
then everybody could put forward suggestions that actually would be taken into account by apple when thinking of the next iPhone

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

Yeah, metal back like the original iPhone. Also,
-wifi turn on/off on front screen
-flash video support
-at least 5MP camera with flash!
-better video quality
-64gb(a given)...128gb next year? Hehe.
-front iSight camera
-iChat
-better microphone (currently does a horrible job recording lectures and music)
-better speakers!!
-Bluetooth on/off on front screen
-OLED screen (most likely)
-camera centered on back...my fingers get in the way! Haha!

Yeah. Can't wait til June 2010 to see what's what!

- LED light in the home button (e.g. blue with new message, green incoming call etc.) with ability to turn it off
- Powermat support

I'd like to see the LED light put in the sleep/wake (power) button, so if the iphone is in a holster you can still see the light and it's in the same position the Blackberry's LED Is located.

Powermat or equivalent wireless charging really needs to be added ASAP. That's the one feature that *might* make me trade in the 3GS for a new iPhone in July.

Wishlist

I don't want a Blackberry, so all these Blackberry ideas don't sound too appealing to me. Apple can do way better than conforming to the Blackberry. Here is what I would like to see...

- Maybe instead of the spotlight screen there could be a screen where all the apps come together. A customizable screen that allows you to follow sports scores, weather, time, calendar, stocks, what ever you want. Then you could even put the spotlight option at the top. (This would be the main screen, still being able to scroll to the right to get to your other apps.)

- I think the idea of a sleeping light for notifactions is a good idea. Sports scores, weather alerts, text message, missed call. Like that idea.

- I would like to see iChat on there with...a Front facing camera. This would be very innovative, changing the way people talk to other people. This would be huge for marketing, and the uses for apps are endless.

- I also like the idea of touch sensitive spot on the back and front.

- I also think that the home button needs to be touch senstive

- Hard Drive and Battery Life is a given

wishlist

Also...
If you have a Mac you may know what iSync is, but I have no use for it as of now. It would be nice for wirelss syncing to from Mac to iPhone and the other way around.

Metal back

I agree with those of you who want to revert to the metal back like the original iPhone. I'm hating the cracks in my 3G. If I weren't as careful with it as I am, I could understand the cracks. But I take very good care of it.

As Time has progressed i have come to realize

:apple:UNIVERSAL SIM CARD RECOGNIZER:apple:
-It automatically adjust your Phone to work with the same put in
-Could Take 3-5 minutes to adjust from different carriers
-Only Works for 1 Country at a time and can be adjusted on Itunes

I'm sure I posed in the thread already, but I'll post again, because this is fun. :)

-A new design, preferably something aluminum, and maybe have 3 different designs to choose from
-Better camera (5 MP) with flash
-A file/folder thing so we can save/store/organize text messages
-Multitasking
-A new OS and layout (tired of looking at that same screen!)
-An improved battery
-Ability to change color of text message blurbs like on iChat
-iChat itself
-Increased call quality and better speakerphone quality
-Something similar to BBM (this could convert some BlackBerry fans over to the iPhone)

If they made the display OLED it would be fantastic. They are incredible with true black instead of grey. Also they use a lot less power so the battery would last a lot longer or they could make it a lot slimmer. if you haven't seen an OLED display then it is hard to understand just how superior they are. You forgot the cons :

- Poor visibility in direct sunlight
- Screen life unequal (some colors die before others)
- Short screen life.

I'd rather they wait until OLED becomes better and just go with a higher resolution LCD.

Iphone 4.0

I am worried that the new 4.0 update that is coming up ( I know it hasn't been official) will not be available for the iphone 3g. Is this possible and do you think that will happen?
