I just read something about how there's Apple mentions in the movie.

Uh oh... the girlfriend will not be happy. See... I have this thing about pointing out whenever there is an Apple product. And I don't think she likes it. :p

Not really a spoiler, but there's 1 product. Two if you want to get technical, the theater got big laugh out of them. :) Not hard to miss, so I don't think you'll have to point it out. ;)

Not me. I stopped liking the motion of modern CG films a while ago, don't even know how or why. I just really hate the way they move (modern cartoons also do this).

I'm just a bit daft though.

movie was ten kinds of awesome and badass :D it's 2:30 am and i gotta be at 8:30 am...worth the lack of sleep and $9 admission. as mentioned above there are some references to Apple products. i'm sure most here at least know the basic story plot but if you don't, go find it on Rotten Tomatoes.

in my opinion this one ranks up there with Nemo, Monsters Inc., Incredibles and Ratatouille.

:apple::apple::apple::apple::apple: out of 5

Caught the midnight show. Wow. Great movie.

GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

The Apple tie-ins are great.

Just saw Wall-E

Great movie! :)

Stay for the credits, in the "special thanks" the first name is Steve Jobs and then in one of the columns Johnathan Ive is there (he designed eve) :D.

definitely check it out!

I have that aswell but, I've learned to just have a quiet giggle and look smug, the wife still knows what its about, but is a lot less annoyed. in fact i think i might be getting her trained cos she sometimes points out the first time she sees a newly released apple product in one of her shows.

And yess im verry excited, but i dont think we are getting it herte for a whole yet. Nemo was out on DVD in the good ol' USofA before it was out in the cinema here. Only seems to happen with Disney/Pixars though

Was it cheery? I need to take my GF out this weekend because she's having a stressful summer, and I wanted to make sure it take her mind off of it. So would a 31 year old enjoy it?

Don't be fooled by the G rating, Pixar movies know no age barrier.

Wall·E is a masterpiece. The characters are really likable, it has a great message and manages to pull at your heart strings over something as simple as robots. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

i am sure it's a fantastic film for adults.
but do you think it is also good for young kids?
is there enough "kid stuff" for them?
what were the reactions comments of the little ones there?
i have to decide whether to take my kids (8 and 3)
thank for the feedback

That's what I loved about Wall·E - it has something for all ages. You kids will fall in love with the robots (Wall·E is astoundingly adorable as the under dog, and yet not gag inducing cute) and older folks will love the story.

I think it will be fine for the kids, that's who it's really intended for. It can throw you off a little bit because part of the movie has no dialogue since he is a robot. Your children will still pick up on the wonderful story being told regardless of Wall-E's robot voice.

My 4-year-old liked it...

I'm 36 and my son is 4 and we both loved it. I don't want to give it away but take note of what happens after WALL-E recharges and you'll get a giggle. :D:apple:
Go see it with your kids or your wife...just make sure you visit http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/wall-e so your kids know who's who before-hand so that the questions during the movie are minimal.

Just got back from it with wifey. See it, absolutely. Definitely a new level for Pixar. The emotional range with nothing but "Robot" being spoken and a few eye shapes & positions is amazing if you let yourself think about it. For the Mac folks out there, there's one more Easter Egg, too. Look at Eve's "collar" closely...

And in case you were worried, John Ratzenberger is in it, as per usual (along with Sigourney Weaver and MacinTalk!).

After reading the recent TUAW post about the Apple references in it, I am now more excited than ever to see this film!

To millar876, there are trailers and signs in the cinema I go to already, so I dont think we will be waiting too long, and if we have to I know where to go to avoid that, but enough on that subject ;)

Hm... I got the Wall-E reboot easter egg but even looking at pictures I can't see what your talking about with Eve.

I did notice that she looks very similar to the Automator icon though!

Just saw it with my girlfriend. Phenomenal. Best Pixar yet. Had the theatre roaring with laughter. Plenty of Mac users in the audience, too!

I find myself watching and waiting the latest Pixar films to see where Ratzenberger will come in. I'll def see this this one at the theatre.

I just found out today what "Wall-E" stands for. Cool!

Do you mind my asking what the short film is? Any good?

You can't tell what is is from stills, you need to see the motion. It's not in your face obvious, but definitely noticeable. Just think of your Mac or iPhone booting up.

The short is "Presto," about a magician and his rabbit.
