LOL saw it. Thought it was great. Loved how when wall-e started up it sounded like my macbook XD

Haha, yeah I thought that was funny. :) Actually the sound isn't the new Mac startup sound, but the older one used. Download the application Mac Tracker, open the Performa 575 profile and click the startup chime. I believe that was the one. :D

Not me. I stopped liking the motion of modern CG films a while ago, don't even know how or why. I just really hate the way they move (modern cartoons also do this).

I'm just a bit daft though.

Maybe because the motion isn't naturalistic. If that's the reason, then you DEFINITELY want to see this. You forget all about CG in a hurry. It looks filmed, as opposed to generated. There's a sequence in a grocery store that looks hand-held, and the use of focal distance and motion blurs in a very real manner was so good you don't even notice them until you think about it.

Wall-E does run Mac. whenever it reboots it goes tah-dah (same as when you boot Mac)

Actually, when Wall-E actually says "Ta-daaaa" was probably one of the golden moments of the movie. Everyone loved it! You just can't help but love little Wall-E. :)

I am glad to hear that it has great reviews. I myself I can't wait to see it. I have loved the Wall-E character just from the commercials. I can't wait.

I must've been the only mac user in there... well besides teh gf but she didn't find it THAT funny...

But when he's re-charging towards the end and it's all silent building up for it I started cracking up waiting for the infamous ding. Yea, definitely the only one laughing at the ding.:p

Can't believe they actually want $5 to see it though. Used to see two first-run, newsreel, cartoons, and coming attractions, all from the balcony for sixty cents. The change from a buck would get popcorn & a Coke.

I can beat you with this one. I was an Air Force Brat. Every Saturday afternoon I went to the movies on base as watched first runs for 25 cents and then popcorn and sodas weren't that much more.
I am now a retired Navy Wife and I can go to the NWS here in Charleston and watch the movies for free (I may have to wait a month to see it but what the heck its free) and pay only $1.00 and $1.50 for soda and popcorn.
I can't beat that deal. If I go to the air base here I would pay $4.00 to get in.

Here is a clip of the Apple reference in Wall-E

Hey thanks I needed that. Actually, I have always liked that song and I still like to listen to it. I am still amazed at that voice that comes out of that that guy.

Great movie! :)

Stay for the credits, in the "special thanks" the first name is Steve Jobs and then in one of the columns Johnathan Ive is there (he designed eve) :D.

definitely check it out!
Thats because Jobs is on disney's board of directors, because of pixar:apple:

Is it sad though? I don't want another ET experience.

It's Pixar. You know there's a happy ending. ;)

Saw it last night with my girlfriend. I liked it. Seems like Pixar can't do anything wrong. My favorite parts:

- The spork
- Tada
- iPod
- His startup chime
- Growing pizzas
- Giving Wall-E and Eve privacy at the end

The emotion portrayed through the two main characters in their connection is just astounding considering EVE is extremely extremely limited in her ability to speak and WALL-E can only make and connect different sounds.

Such an astounding piece of work. The part towards the end, I wont say anymore or give spoilers, really really pulled on my, and I'm sure everyone else's heartstrings. I'm sure there were some tears in the theater during that scene.

Best movie of the year. Iron Man and Hulk may be great, but they're so shallow. The emotion portrayed without real humans, real actors, but with CGI created robots just amazes me. This is Pixar's masterpiece, whether it bores the little ones during parts or not.
