I guess it looks like a good movie. But I would not recommend any adults to go and see it alone. Lets be honest it's a kids movie and really not for us adults, and secondly most cinema venues don't let adults in who are without kids into children's films because of the fear they might be pedophiles. No kidding these things happen.

Oh happylittlemac, silly silly you. Firstly the film is far more "adult" that you give it credit and secondly I suggest you put aside your paranoia and political correctness. Just because an adult sees a kids movie, doesn't make them a pedophile. There is no causality between that at all and it's a parent's duty to protect their children from whatever is out there. And one of the main issues that is presented in Stanton's last movie, Finding Nemo is that "fear denies a good father from being one" and when you are absorbed in correcting your children and trying to protect them from everything, you miss out on being "present" with your child. A complex lesson that a lot of people need to learn, all from a "kids movie" so-called. And whatever theatre isn't allowing them in is clearly in violation of the law. Since when is ageism acceptable but racism, sexism, and homophobia not?

Anyway, I absolutely loved the film. For kids there's a good amount of cutesy characters and humor, but for the adults there's a simple love story and more complex issues like consumerism, pollution, and much more in the subtext.

I put together a little review if you would like to check it out.

Apple in Wall-E

Pixar has made another artistic triumph with Wall-E. For those of you into all things Mac, you may notice a subtle but humorous nod to Apple that occurs twice in the movie, when Wall-E boots up.

What?!? Have you not seen any Pixar movie before this? Have you ever heard of Bullwinkle, or seen any Warner Bros. cartoon? Cartoons are more for adults--and have been for decades--than I think you realize.

:eek::eek:

What what what?!? Where in god's name do you live that this is a belief? Does haggis turn people's brains to such pudding that this is actually a policy in your neighborhood?

Either you forgot where the :p button is, or you have been fed some truly sad views. Go. See. The. Movie. Borrow a kid and their parents if you have to.

Thanks for the review, but I shut in down at the "one day Wall•e's world is turned up-side-down".

I want to see this for myself.

Good idea. It's best to see it firsthand. I didn't go too far into spoiler-territory, just until the end of Act I. Anyway thanks for the kind words!

Are you freaking kidding me?! I went to see it today with my girlfriend and we're both 22.

I just saw WALL-E with my wife and 4-year old. It was fantastic. It is by far Pixar's best, and as mentioned filled with many Apple references and Easter Eggs.

But our theater showed it in DLP (Digital Projection). Wow. The quality and the colors were phenomenal. If you can see it on a digital projector screen, make the effort. It was worth it.

This movie truly proved to me of how big of a wimp i am:eek:

Wall-E is the cutest thing ever! And all his noises and stuff just made me go "awwwwww"!

I also would say this has to be one of my favourite movies of all time!

I guess i really liked it:p

Two words: South. Park.

"Complete this phrase: 'I hate n _ g g e r s'. I'll give you a hint: They're really annoying, and everybody hates them."

"The answer is *****s! *****s!!!!"

*gasp from audience*

"What is hell is wrong with you?! The answer is 'naggers'. It's 'naggers', you racist!"

:D

That and the Simpsons (and Family Guy, for that matter) are all progeny of Moose & Squirrel. Weekday, prime-time evenings, politically pointed, challenging of authority, all pretty much created in the '60's, and not rediscovered until Groening and Parker & Stone came along. And not a moment too soon, either. :D

It warped the minds of all of us young 'uns that spent our time soaking it all in. Parents and our elected leaders were none too fond of it then, either...

The more things change, the more they stay the same. ;)

I loved it too! I thought Kung Fu Panda would have it beat after seeing that but darn! Two great animated movies in one year..

I loved Toy Story and Ratatouille. Both movies have not only great visuals and a great story, but t o back it up an excellent message. Appeals to EVERYONE.

I'll be renting Wall-E on Blue-ray!
