Still stuck at preparing to ship. I was hoping to wake up to an email from Apple saying that it shipped.
No luck here either...been stuck at 'preparing to ship' for a couple days now...

I've currently got the Rogers 6GB super plan and my contract runs out in November!!! Yay!! So I guess I'll just go month to month on this plan. Does anyone know what I can do when my contract is done? Can I ask to pay less per month and stay on contract free and get the same stuff?
Pretty much, but it was $60 a month ago! Ask for the Caller ID and Voicemail 3 package, its $7 and you get both.
If you have any discounts/credits on your plan right now, chances are that they will expire when your contract runs out. When you call to get them extended, they won't unless you sign a new contract and purchase a new phone from them. (Due to the new economic recovery fee, or whatever they call it). Otherwise, if they just renew your contact without any phone purchase, you just have to pay $12.50 to break the contract and they obviously don't like that.
I purchased my iPhone5 unlocked via Apple and my contract and promos expire next June 2013 (3 years after the iPhone 4 came out). Not sure what I will do when the time comes, but if I can't work something out with them, I'll just port over to the other 2 evils.
My credit card has been charged and the serial number is there on the support page but still nothing on UPS or Fedex 
I wouldn't worry if it's still "Preparing to Ship". If I recall correctly, last year they shipped them out on Wednesday and everyone still got the phones by Friday.

I just called apple because I have the same status. its been on preparing for shipment since Saturday. They told me they were having some dock issues with some orders, but they are worked out now and ready to go out. bad news is they pushed the date to sept 25th.
Any of you here managed to get the reference tracking working?

Haven't been able to get that working yet. I'm still at "Preparing to Ship". Phone does show up in the support profile, though.
For those who aren't looking for unlocked iPhones and still want to get it Friday, I would go check out a Futureshop and Best Buy near you and preorder in store.

FYI, the track by reference does indeed work in Canada. Just tested it using my delivery phone number and postal code for iPad 3 way back in March.

Just checked my CC. Still on pending, and the order on Preparing for Shipment. Its obvious none of the Canadian orders have been shipped. Pretty sure they are shipping from a close location thats why they have not change status.
