“As you surely know some people have cut down a “conventional” SIM (2FF) in a MicroSIM (3FF) with a knife or with a pair of scissors. Sometimes it has worked, sometimes not. Reason that this method functioned was that the 2FF and the 3FF SIM card has the same thickness. The thickness of the Nano-SIM is reduced by about 15 percent – so we think that a reducing only in size is not working. Backward compatibility with older device models is ensured by an adapter solution that allows the Nano-SIM to be integrated into all established mobile devices for universal use.”

Well it's no guarantee it will work in the iP5, but I've managed to cut down my micro sim, sand it down and use it with a nano-sim adapter in my 4S. I was hoping to pre provision my Rogers nano-sim but our corp support folks couldn't find the nano-SIM number in their database to turn up and were told

"The LTE nano sim card will be provisioned on Sept 21st not earlier that’s why there is issues for us to activate it.

I will call you on Friday morning to activate the sim card for you."
 
Oh my...Rogers sent me an email...

...my reservation has been shipped to the store, complete with a tracking number!!! I may actually get it on Friday! 😀

ME TOO!!! Just got it! I just registered here (finally) bc I couldn't contain my excitement and I'm in class right now haha. Friday!!!!!!!

Does your tracking number work? On the UPS link they sent it said it cant be found, but I figure UPS hasn't set it up yet

Edit: I ordered a 32gb black through Rogers at about 6am EST, I was number 830ish.

Pre-ordered @ 11:05AM MST Friday Sept 14.
1 White 16GB iPhone 5 --> #986 earlier today has now changed to "In Progress"

Pre-ordered @ 7:00AM MST Friday Sept 14.
1 White 16GB iPhone 5 --> #1,200 at time of pre-order currently #902....

Will likely be lining up at a Fido location on Friday. Seems odd considering the Fido location I sent it to is relatively small and has always had the iPhone 4S/4 in stock for 1-2 days after release.

The tracking on mine doesn't work yet either...here's hoping this is not premature.
 
Well, there is definitely a tracking number THERE, so hopefully that means they didn't just input random numbers and letters, although knowing rogers it's not totally out of the question.
 
Just got my notification that my Rogers iPhone 5 has shipped too.

Tracking number ALWAYS takes a while to work, 2 things, I think they have it on their "pre paid" slips so they can give it to you right away, so it might not be shipped yet.. but yeah I've had stuff arrive and the tracking number starting to work that very day heheh

Anyone here order from Telus?

Placed my order at 12:20 (Pacific), for a 16GB black - got an "internal server error 500" warning right after I clicked confirm order 🙂eek🙂. Momentary panic, but a few seconds later I received a confirmation email with order number, my details, as well as another email containing my official receipt. Also, my card has a hold on it for the amount.

The confirmation email read "We’re working to get your new phone to you on or around September 21st. Once your order has been shipped, we will send you a confirmation email to [my email address] with an exact date of arrival and a tracking code."

No confirmation yet, and entering a phone number or my order number into UPS's 'track by reference' feature gives no joy.

Anyone else?
 
Yeah both my Rogers Pre-orders shipped. Got the two emails within the past hour. Phones are headed to Hamilton through UPS.

Yep same thing with me, I ordered a white 32gb Iphone 5 around 5 and haven't recieved anything yet so you're not alone.
