The CANADA iPhone 5 Pre-Order STATUS Thread!

My 16gb white phone changed to preparing for shipment some time yesterday but now it says holiday shipping.

I hope I am not in the group of people whose phones are stuck on the dock....

If Bell charges me for activating the nano-SIM, I'm switching to Telus. Robbers being behind the curve must sting for them.

I wouldn't worry about it being delayed, esp if you ordered early and you're in an urban area. When was your confirmation?
 
so looks like my cc items have processed, my apple care cost has posted to my credit card, item still shows delivers 21-25 and is still stuck in preparing for shipment...
 
I don't think there is any chance apple.ca orders will be delivered on Friday. It kind of sucks..

I got my confirmation @ 3:17 am EST. I also think 16gb are coming from a different warehouse in the US.
Hope to get shipping confirmation by tomorrow! Those in the US who got 16gb coming from the US already have their tracking #s.

EDIT: BTW, i am in montreal!
 
1x 32GB Black ordered through iPhone App around 00:04, 1x 16GB White around 00:08 on Apple.ca. Both still just Preparing for shipment and Holiday shipping. Been that way for 24 hours already. Vancouver destination.
 
just talked to the apple rep on-line, and he said if your delivery date shows 21-25, you will get it during on the 21 if you are in a major city. he said it will ship later this week to my location...
 
I've never wanted an iPhone as bad as I want this one :(
I really hope we all end up getting it Friday! I am obsessively checking all forums for any news :D
 
It is still possible orders could arrive if they leave sometime tonight.....Almost ALL canadian orders are still on "preparing to ship", i doubt apple is going to delay the order of a whole country. They probably have them sitting in a warehouse somewhere in US or Canada already.....hopefully

I'm excited as this is my first Apple pre-order ever. I was one of the first to order it and it will just be disappointing if it doesn't come when scheduled. Good grief.

I don't know why people are freaking out. This is exactly how the last few pre-orders have gone. With both my 4s and my current iPad, I had no tracking info whatsoever until it was within 24 hours of being at my door, on launch day.

Not having tracking info on Tuesday is not an indication you won't get it delivered on Friday.
Once UPS has it, next day delivery to major urban centres is a snap.

If LATE Thursday night you still don't have any tracking info... then that might suggest you're not getting it on Friday.

Now, if you were late on the preorder, that's another story.

judging by how eager people are to get their iphone5 just justifies why apple stocks have surged beyond 700$ a share.

people need to relax, i'm sure apple will make sure you get one in your hands. it's not like it is life or deal.

just goes to show how this generation is being defined as needing instant gratification. hope everyone shows a little civility and treat those UPS deliver people with some respect come friday.

When i spend $1100 of my hard earned, blood/sweat money on a product and stay up all night to preorder, i expect a company to keep their end of the bargain and deliver on time.

I got nothing against UPS, if the phone is late it wouldn't be because of them. I'm not impatient to get a phone, i'm impatient because i only have friday off. Monday i have an exam, and i'm leaving monday night for work.

I'm assuming others have also opened up their friday to be able to receive the phone.

People are just showing excitement over a product and they share their thoughts here, why do you have to come to this specific thread (I mean what did you expect looking at the title?) and pass judgement over a whole generation of people? That seems uncalled for.
