Me too!!! Mine's in Concord Ontario right now.. our phones are travel buddies lol. Rogers will definitely have to hold it until Friday. ARGH. I'm pretty surprised Rogers orders seem to have come through before Apple's..
 
Picked up a nano sim at the Rogers store in Halifax Shopping Centre (in Halifax, obviously:p) The girl there said they havent been told not to sell them, so she didn't have a problem selling me one. She suspected that other stores might refuse in order to ensure stock for Friday. Apparently, I was only the second person to buy one, so she doesn't expect to run out.:cool:

did anyone else receive an email invoice yet? i got mine yesterday.

using another order as reference i can confirm that the number on the invoice called: No.(Sales Order) works for tracking by ref.

it works for my cable order but not my iphone yet

So excited that I'm actually getting it before the Apple.ca pre-orders... I'm sure somehow find a way to screw it up, though... they usually do.

I have read lots of posts about the nano SIMs but I have a few questions. Are the nano SIMs you get free from Apple not carrier-specific? I am thinking of going with Koodo and haven't seen anyone mention them, so I just wanted to see if I could still go to the Apple Store on Friday to pick up a SIM card and then take my phone to Koodo to get it all set up! Thanks!

Apple only has SIM's from their five supported carriers; Fido, Rogers, Telus, Bell, Virgin

where exactly do you see your serial number? I only see an order number...

Ok;

Preparing for shipment: This statement applies to the shipment from distributor to residence/office. OF COURSE your order status says "preparing for shipment". If it said shipped, you would likely get it early. Wait until Thursday or Friday morning and it will say Shipped and then you will be able to track it from the distributor to your place.

In case of the rogers pre-orders -- your item is being shipped to Rogers and they can receive them whenever apple wants...but the bottom line is that they cannot release until Friday. Therefore, you may see that you item has been shipped or delivered, but you still won't be able to get it until Friday.

I hope this all makes sense
 
do we get nano sims from ordering off apple? i dont rmember the websit asking me to go with rogers, fido etc

They are not sending you a sim card, phone is bare. You need to obtain it from your carrier or supposably Apple stores

Well, I just called the Apple store and was informed that I have a deliver by date of Sept. 25th... the poor kid on the other end sounded scared, lol. I guess he had one guy who was pretty abusive yesterday....poor fella.

Basically the Apple store reps can't really help in targeting delivery times, as they have very limited info from what I could gather. He couldn't even confirm which courier was being used (he'd mentioned both Fedex and UPS orders had gone through on a few), nor offer a tracking number etc.

I wouldn't hold my breath on the factory unlocked versions, ordered directly from Apple, being delivered on the 21st either like someone above had posted earlier.
 
I put in pre-order at 5:30a with Rogers on Friday morning. #46 overall. Confirmation a few hours ago that phone is at Apple's Concord ON shipping facility. Expect it will be shipped thursday evening to Rogers' store.

I wouldnt take seriosly what the Apple reps say, he only sees the same page like we do and he sees 9/21 - 9/25 and tells you 9/25. I bet he has no idea about the tricks we do to track our iPhone like reference on UPS or Serial numbers on the Profile page.
 
I want to ask, if my status is "Prepared for shipment", does that mean its gonna get shipped regardless? I'm just worried it could be my credit card problem. Hopefully that isnt the case. Will Ups deliver during weekends with this holiday shipping?
