Wireless Wave at Billings. If I were to guess, most Wireless Waves will sell them. I'm going to go to the one in the rideau centre tomorrow. I'll report back either way.
Yup, I got one in Kitchener on Monday.

I picked up 2 nano sims at the bell store in the mall in Kingston

which were both handed to me for free

Did you get this directly from Bell? I went to a Bell store in Kingston and asked about getting a nano sim - they didn't seem to know much, but he said they had 250 nano sims in stock, but not that many iPhones... but I would have to come back Friday to get one. Said it would cost 'at least' $20 to activate the SIM and it would have to be done in store. He said he couldn't do it today because they need to register the serial number of the new iPhone.

I'm somewhat confident that the tracking will show up tomorrow early morning. I trust that their delivery dates are accurate.

wow you are totally ahead of the game! Number transferred to the card before the phone arrives. Without the phone, how do you know the number has properly been transferred over? Did you do the transfer yourself or in-store?

Heh, I like to be prepared. I want my baby to be functional the second it arrives. On LTE. :)

As for the transfer, the good people at Bell did it for me in-store. I'll hold onto the receipt in case something went awry.

Got it right from a Bell store, called yesterday to make sure they had some. Got charged $5 for it, no word on an activation fee from the man there or the need to register it to my iPhone.

Odd that you're having the exact opposite experience than me. A little concerning.

at least some of you at least have LTE coverage... i on the other hand have to wait till October 1 for LTE to go live in Edmonton! Unless Rogers does something amazing and turns it on silently on Friday!

Yeah a lot of SWO has to wait as well. We have to wait until the 1st for Kitchener, Cambridge, Waterloo, Hamilton and possibly Guelph, since Guelph is on the "LTE Soon" map on the site, but not in the press release for the October 1st launch. Rogers did say, however, that it would be BY the 1st, so who knows, maybe some of the cities will get it sooner, and Friday would be a great day to do it.

On a side note, I just noticed that Apple.ca iPhones are now on a 3-4 week backlog, that's just crazy. Even with the 2-3 week estimate they must have sold a bunch still.

Beside iphone, I made another separate order for AppleCare Macbook using the same phone number.

That shipment just went out yesterday.

When I trace by my number, I should at least see the macbook applecare shipment. But it doesn’t even show up when I search with my number as reference.

So, i think that reference number search doesn’t really work.

Ya I'm thinking this is only working for US customers. Everyone in this thread seems to get nothing with the reference number.

Still, doesn't stop me from refreshing every few minutes :p

I remember this UPS reference number thing worked last year on a Wednesday when the 4s launched. I think we will see UPS updates tomorrow, as it did last year and delivered by Friday. I am from Vancouver

For any other frustrated Telus preorder members out there, I spoke to a representative in store downtown Toronto and was told that as long as you ordered before 5pm on the 14th you should be receiving your phone on Friday.

Which iPhone did you order?
iPhone 5 32GB white
What time was the confirmation email dated?
9:28am EST
What does the current delivery estimate say?
9/21
What is the status of the order?
not specified
Are you able to track it via reference #?
no
Which province are you from?
Ontario (GTA)
Does it say Holiday or Standard Shipping?
not specified, "will receive email with tracking once its been shipped"
Can you see your serial number on the profile page?
no
Ordered through...
telusmobility.com

ps. Should probably mention that when I was with Rogers when the 4 came out, it took a month to find one on launch date without preorder. Every non carrier store (Future Shop, Best Buy, The Source, 2001 A/V etc) had tons of Bell and Telus since almost all of Canada is on Rogers, so don't stress!

hello fellow people.

does anyone happen to know which shipping service (UPS, FedEx, Purolator, Canada post even..?) do they use? or even with their release from last year with the 4S

did it come in the morning?
The following Monday morning. It's important to note that for the 4S, we were only promised "ships by October 14", and not a specific definite date like we got for the 5 and new iPad. My iPad came on release day just as promised.

I'm still optimistic for Friday. They could be coming from a warehouse in US or Canada. Mine's a week 33 phone (we're on week 37 now), so they've had plenty of the to stage them around the world.

I know that Telus uses Purolator, according to their FAQ. And I think someone earlier on in the thread said Rogers uses UPS? Apple is using UPS, as well, I believe.

Me too. I don't know about the others on this thread since I've been following the US thread(magically stumbled onto this thread) since the release of the iPhone, do any of you have the EXACT delivery date of 9/21 and not "9/21-9/25"?

I have date of 9-21.9-25 as well but my charge got posted to my credit card so as far as I know that means shipped because apple does not charge until they ship. Apple is using UPS and I asked the ups driver that delivered to my house today when they will be delivering and he said they start Friday and he said the lower mainland (surrey) orders around the guildford and fleetwood areas would be late as in 3pm-630pm deliveries

I see they have posted the charge to my Credit Card, which they don't typically do until they ship the item, so I would assume that it has been shipped already, and just hasn't updated yet.

Based on past experience, I don't expect to get tracking info until the last minute.

For the person that asked about shipping a few posts above, orders from Apple.ca ship via UPS typically (in Canada anyways), and last year I received my iPhone 4S around 11am.

My reserved iPhone 5 has shipped through UPS, and should arrive at end of day, today at my local Rogers store. I doubt they will let me pick it up though. I'm getting excited though. *Sucks that LTE isn't in my city though!

Rogers is ridiculous. Wanting me to pay $200+ to break current contract, then $250 to buy new phone on new contract. I was on the phone with Rogers for over an hour, as they escalated my case.

Eventually they told me I can just buy the new iPhone full out and sell the old one (even though it's on contract, they don't care what phone you use, as long as you are still using their service) Made my head hurt.
