The CANADA iPhone 5 Pre-Order STATUS Thread!

On the lighter side of things...

Now I know what Tim Cook was talking about when he said they were doubling down on secrecy...he was talking about shipping!

Clearly he doesn't want us to know when we are getting our phones :). It all makes sense now. Well played Tim.

So I just called Wireless Wave in Barrie Ontario and asked if they had nano sims (for Virgin) and the guy says "Ya we have nano sims in stock.....umm I mean no, no we don't" You could hear someone talking to him in the background so I said "oh, so you don't have any?" and he goes "We arn't allowed to...no we don't have any, sorry".

Seems like they had them but they arn't allowed to sell them. I don't wanna have to drive all over Friday looking for one. Especially if I have my iPhone 5 and can't use it. That will be extra frustrating.

So stupid of them to hold them for sale on their busiest day of the year, when they could get these sales out the way now. They could just tell people not to activate them until Friday.
 
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting really sick of seeing "Preparing for Shipment".

Since everyone is in the same shoes, I'm not too concerned.. Pretty much all Apple.com orders around the world are still in preparing for shipment status.

I wouldn't say that's entirely true since I've been following the US thread and most of them are posting images of them tracking their iPhones via UPS..

Weird, the girl and guy and wireless wave Rideau centre were just asking me about when I pre-ordered and stuff. Sold me a Rogers nano sim no problem, $10 flat.

They were in the process of labelling cases and covers for the iPhone 5.

Had this happen to me with my 4S, ended up buying it unlocked in store on the Friday but no unlocked iPhones anymore in store. :mad:
 
Have any rogers business customers seen any movement? I ordered 2 64gig white iphone 5s and have been preparing since last friday. I number 2 and 3 in the line... so I figured I was good for launch day... starting to worry!

Also, the phones are coming directly to my office rather than the Rogers store... according to the rep when I ordered them... :confused:

Just looked up my old tracking info...it left apple Oct 13 (Thursday), and arrived on the 17th. So there's still a chance if it ships today.

Well when you're helplessly unable to check what the **** is going on with your iPhone 5, need to do something else.
 
Finally they charged my credit card. One less thing to worry about now. Im just gonna hope i get a tracking tomorrow morning. So it seems like Ups will be the only courier for delivering iphones? I live in vancouver.

Well, it's the Canadian pre-order status thread. Where to get the nano sims is a Canadian matter. The regular Apple.ca Pre-order thread is available to talk about the pre-orders no matter the country (and that means without talk about sim cards).
 
New intel: Rogers Plus at North York (49xx Yonge Street) in Toronto, is in the middle of unpacking iPhone 5. By the looks of it, they have a few boxes (6-8), and each box holds 5. I've only caught a glimpse of the white iPhone 5.

I asked if they're doing early distribution, they said no.

In other news, they also have really crappy cases ready (in-house brand?).
 
"We want our unlock iPhone5 orders shipping status and tracking number!"
"When do we want it?"
"NOW!"

OK... I said it. :p Have to let it out of my system.

Now... let's play with iOS6 on the iPad!
 
anyone preorder from rogers and hear anything? Im waiting, feel like im not going to be getting mine on friday :(
 
Or, if anyone interested, AND loves Half-Life; go play Black Mesa on steam till we get some updates! ;)
 
The second I get my shipping email/am able to track via reference, I am sharing that with you good people.

It's starting to look like we're going to be watching YouTube unboxings on Friday instead of setting up our new unlocked iPhones. Hope to at least see it Monday and not Tuesday.
