For any other frustrated Telus preorder members out there, I spoke to a representative in store downtown Toronto and was told that as long as you ordered before 5pm on the 14th you should be receiving your phone on Friday.

ps. Should probably mention that when I was with Rogers when the 4 came out, it took a month to find one on launch date without preorder. Every non carrier store (Future Shop, Best Buy, The Source, 2001 A/V etc) had tons of Bell and Telus since almost all of Canada is on Rogers, so don't stress!

Well I ordered mine at 5:17 PM so hopefully I'm in the Friday boat :p
 
Ordered through Rogers Business as soon as phones opened at the civilized time of 8 am EST (there is no online reservation for Business). I'm #5 in line. :)
Wow, that's very good, which one did you order? I ordered on Friday afternoon and it says I'm spot #382. Do you think the business customers get their phones earlier/later/same as the non-business Rogers customers? Does it get shipped to Rogers first and they ship it to me, or does it get shipped straight from China to my house? I tried calling them but they weren't sure.

I am just scared as I waited over a month to get my rMBP, and don't want the same thing to happen this time... :(

My order was placed at 12:20am, and I'm in Vancouver. Fingers crossed...

The few business customers are in the same situation I fear. I'll post if I hear anything at all...

Well that's pretty promising then. As much as I would like to have information now, I feel like they'll come through.

Excellent. I place my order 2:07AM Edmonton time, so I'm well ahead of that deadline. I'm just kind of irrationally worrying them, then. Good to know.

So I stayed up all night on the preorder date from 12 to 5 oclock.
I live in toronto canada so I heard it was at three when the phones were avb for preordering but i checked around 12 too just to be sure

I couldnt place an order untill 3:19 because the apple store kept saying be right back which was very annoying.
Anyways its wednesday left and my order just changed to preparing for shipping i think around monday or so. its still stuck under that as of now but Ive seen other people other threads mention that they ordered the same time as mine but they are getting shipped? what the helllll...
Anyways if anyone can share some of their knowledge and tell me if ill be able to get it on friday then please do so..

My new iPhone has arrived at the Rogers store. They claim the system will 'crash' with everyone activating them Friday morning, tried to sell me on coming in Friday afternoon after 3p....ya right.

There 1000% right, everytime at launch when putting the upgrade through, the system crashes, either you stand in line and be one of the first ones to use the system, or bear for hours and hours of employees clicking lol

its crazy, you would think they would invest enought of the money they are stealing from us to keep their servers capable of handeling the load of a few more then normal activations.

how did they notify you? when you reserved did you do it online, and if so what number were you in line?

Still waiting on word from rogers on mine :(
 
is it possible to purchase a nano sim now, and call into the carrier by phone today or tomorrow and get my number transferred to it, as to avoid the "system crash" on Friday? I would just have to sacrifice a couple days of no phone usage. But I don't make or receive calls much anyway and I can still use my wifi for other social correspondences
 
That's why they should have started handing out the nano cards this week so customers can activate them themselves or via phone on Friday. All staff will so stressed friday that they don't want to worry about things that won't earn them a commission.
 
I called Wireless Wave at Richmond center about picking up a BELL nano simcard. The lady said they will not sell them until Saturday as they only have enough right now to cover the number of iPhone 5 they have.

Sucks!
 
Rogers Waitlist Update

anyone preorder from rogers and hear anything? Im waiting, feel like im not going to be getting mine on friday :(

I waitlisted online with Rogers last Friday morning and started at 1000+ in the queue (Black 32GB). Went down to 300+ by Monday and for the last day or two the number disappeared and the status changed to "IN PROGRESS". About an hour ago I got an email saying that the phone was being shipped to my local store (see text below).

oh dam, i waitlisted with rogers friday afternoon, after it came back up after crashing and i was 3500ish, im only down to 1900 now. Guess i have to wait until im 0 before they even ship to the store, bummer. Makes me wonder if I will get that 50$ credit for 2+ weeks.
 
I've got some Aladeen news for us waiting for 64GB models from Rogers...sources say that not one store has received any at this point and its unlikely that they will be until next week...YAY!

Ordered at 12:15 PDT, still Preparing for Shipment, can't find on UPS or FedEx, and my credit card hasn't been charged yet.

Starting to get a bit concerned seeing as a lot of people have had their cards charged by now.
 
cc charged on 18th but apple says 25th deliver

my card was charged yesterday but when i called apple the rep said that they see mine as being delivere on the 25th and they do not know why on my end it says "holiday shipping" she said dont expect it until the 25th. i am in zone 1 for the delivery map in vancouver though:confused:
