Still waiting for ours as well. UPS is usually here in the AM for air shipments, but hasn't delivered my phones, nor our new film for clear wraps that I had air shipped in to get into production today.

Nothing like bringing in extra staff to get production running, only to have everyone standing around waiting. FRUSTRATED.

Anyone with this status previously had it delivered? I've been home all day and in view of a front window so I know there's been no attempted delivery.

Hey everyone- just an update... I called ATS and after 20 minutes on hold the operator called the driver and they aren't going to be able to deliver today but would be able to deliver tomorrow (Saturday) before 1pm. Apparently they are swamped with deliveries today. Hope that you all get yours today but doesn't look promising.
 
For people in Vancouver area still waiting for their Iphone I live in Pitt Meadows and just received mine so I'm sure yours is on its way.
 
So JUST got my phone from UPS here in Richmond Hill. I went to a Rogers + store nearby and they said they don't have any nano sims for non-reserved customers.

Is the Apple store the only place i can get one?
 
Got my iPhone 5 at 5:45pm.. I activated my sim at 6 how long did it take people on Rogers to get service?
 
Up and running no problem. Minor defects of the black band coating where the metal bottom of the band joins the sides of the body. Also I'm on fido and LTE is amazing. 16 down 21 up BUT when I make a call it drops down to 3G.

I thought true gam networks still got LTE on calls and CDMA got the shaft
 
FutureShop/BestBuy had TONS of nano sims in Alberta here

I swapped sims online and have been waiting 2.5 hours =(
 
I transferred my fido microsim to nano sim online about 2hrs ago.... still waiting no service on the new iphone 5 yet..
 
I cannot believe how Telus prioritized their orders.
I am reading that people who ordered well after noon on last Friday have received their iPhone 5 already... Yet I, who ordered around 5 am, have yet to even receive a tracking number, let alone the phone.

Last time I order with Telus, they really do not know how to prioritize and ship phones... :(
 
Finally got home, so I can sync the baby with iTunes.
Doing that now.

I changed the SIM card numbers online on Rogers.com and it went through successfully, but it's been over 2 hours now. The 4S (old phone) still has service, while the iPhone 5 doesn't have service. Hopefully that will be solved with adding the carrier data during the sync.

As for the black/slate, which is the one I ordered.. it came out of the box with 2 small scratches on the side aluminum part connecting to the back. I quickly rushed out to grab a case for it. I'm kind of disappointed the black model won't be able to handle even minor scratches properly. I would suggest investing in a case.

Seemed that all of the provider servers are taking a dump right now.... but when I got to FS about 90 minutes ago, they were able to start processing activations again. They had ample stock at the location I was at (Ottawa, ON SilverCity)

I'm gonna wait another hour or so, and then call Rogers to make sure the SIM swap online went properly. I'll keep the thread posted :)

Enjoy your new iPhones!!! I know I will once the hour long syncing process is done (my 64GB is completely filled, Apple you need a 128GB version!!!)
 
fido stores

my friends in vancouver BC told me that they could just walk into a fido store and "buy the iphone 5 outright" as they are the only ones that offer no contracts and allow people to "out right buy it"

Is that true? no line-up too WOW :D

For people still doesnt have a sim yet, Apple is giving them out free. You dont even need invoice.

Sounds like 3 people cancelled their order. Does that mean they haven't even started shipping them?

Any non-business customers had their spot # change today?

Yep, I did the same thing.. except the guy asked to see my invoice but barely looked at it... they had people at the front of the store handing out sim cards like it was halloween candy. Apple store @ Downtown Vancouver.
 
For Rogers Business customers:

Business customers are on a separate reservation list, with deveices shipped directly to customers. Getting a phone in-store is a giant headache.
I'm in the same boat as you, I placed my order last Friday just after noon and went from spot #382 to #379 today, no word of shipping or anything.

Did you ask Rogers if they are shipping them directly from Apple to us or first receiving them, bundling them with Rogers invoice papers, SIM card, etc, then shipping it to us? I hope the former, as that would be a huge detour.

Please keep me informed on your order, if yours starts moving, that means mine will be moving (hopefully).

Yes, this happened to me and Telus. Girlfriend who ordered 12 hours after me got hers, but I have no sign of mine.
 
has anyone called rogers in regards to no service on the phones?

im having the same problem

I havent called yet... but i'm gonna wait a little longer and see if it will clear up. If not i'm gonna call to make sure the server actually took the transfer and didnt take a dump ;)

Also, anyone try the headphones? There not that bad, quite an improvement from the earlier package phones
