I think that the reception issues have a lot to do with Atts garbage network. Even though I can recreate the death grip, my bars drop from 4-5 to 2-3. Still an acceptable range.

IMO, the problems with AT&T's network are exaggerated. I've been with them for 2.5 years, and have never had a problem. I think it depends on where you live.

Same as with Rogers network. I was with them for 5+ years, and I had good and bad reception depending on where I was in Southern Ontario.

I couldn't tell you what its like at Fairview today, but yesterday I was between #50 to #60 in line and by the time the store opened there were probably about 600+ people behind me in line. Apple store opened at 7am, I got my phone at 9:30am.

I lined up the previous night at 11:30pm, so not terrible. Although if I had of known that it would have taken from 7am to 9:30am for me to get my phone, I would have lined up earlier the previous night.

I have no idea if they are selling to walk-ins. Sorry.

Anyone able to get a iPhone 4 case , apple store had none, free or for sale?

How about screen / back protectors ?

I haven't been able to resolve my MMS issues! I still can't send a picture message! This isn't just an isolated problem. My girlfriend cannot send or receive them either, she bought her phone with me yesterday.

Anyone experiencing the same problems? Please let me know. We need to find a solution...

I got Week 29 with 4.0, had to update to 4.0.1
 
wow im sleep deprived but have my iphone 4 in my hand and its gorgeous. I dont think i will ever line up again for anything, especially early mornings, but i just love iphones :p
 
How likely is Rogers to negotiate their posted plans for brand new customers? I'm trying to decide between Rogers and Virgin. If I asked Rogers for voicemail and call display at no extra charge (as Virgin offers), is it possible they would accommodate?
 
Just activated the 6GB Promo with my iPhone 3G right now.

What section do I look at to see my data usage? The sent or received section?
 
I just called the Apple Store in Toronto's Eaton Centre. They are now out of IP4's and will get more in at the earliest on Tuesday. They are not allowing any kind of pre-orders.
 
How much of a subsidy do you actually get if you buy phones that are locked to a carrier? Im trying to decide whether I should get an unlocked one or if I should look into getting one with a rogers/bell/whatever contract. I'm not Canadian, so I don't know much about the whole phone situation here other than that everything is ridiculously expensive!
 
So, I got Roger's 6 GB + iPad sharing plan. It's on my account, but Rogers made me to go the store and BUY an iPhone 4 SIM card from my iPad since they can't use the prepaid iPad SIMs. So, I do this, and it doesn't work. I can access Rogers pages via 3G on my iPad, but nothing else. Customer support says my account is set up properly, and tech support does not see an issue, and they escalated it. Expect a response within 3 days... this is after 6+ hours on the phone and in store. The first few reps I spoke with swore up and down that Rogers does not allow iPhone and iPad data pooling.

Anyone have this working on Rogers right now?

Well folks, it looks like I'll be returning my iPhone on Monday. It must be defective.

No reception anywhere in my house, or on my property. I live in a very populated area so there is no excuse. Furthermore, my old phone (which is on the same carrier) has almost full bars.

I'm on Bell right now. Should I exchange it with a new one or just switch to Rogers?
 
Stupid question: I have a 3GS and want the iPhone 4. If I buy it outright I assume the 3GS is mine to sell. If I upgrade do I return the phone to Rogers or do I still keep it? Sorry if this has been discussed already but I wasn't sure.

Sent + received for total.

Download the Rogers my account app for more accurate usage.

Also, note your 6gb is prorated for the end of your billing cycle for the first period.
 
Sat there are 4 hour waits at both APPLE stores. It appears CANADIANS are going crazy for the unlocked phones. No one wants to be shackled to a slavery 3 year plan!

I sauntered over BB and they had plenty of phones, BUT ONLY with a 3 year ball and chain!!!!! There were 2-3 peeps there buying! LOL
