i tried ordering one a few hours ago. they're sold out and cannot even put you on the waiting list.
How many of you guys had to pay the $35 activation fee for the iPhone 4? I was told by one of the Rogers dealer I have to pay it even though I don't recalled having to pay an activation fee 3 years ago when I renew my contract and got a subsidized phone.
Rogers is only in the St. John's area here. I have a Rogers iphone that works fine. Whoever told you that is an idiot.
i was told by fido a few times over the phone that they don't do pre-orders or any orders over the phone if they don't have any in stock. and they don't know when they get any in stock and when they do they are already out of stock.

As of 11am, nada. Gave up and went home.
I'll be calling back every 1-2 hours. I'm only a 10-minute drive away, so if they get some, I'm there. (8 mins if I ignore all stop signs and traffic signals. J/k)

I don't know. I overheard other people in the store asking about it and being advised to call in, first come first served, etc. I don't know if all the people in the food court were prospective iPhone 4 customers...
No lines or anything outside the store if that's what you meant.

Stupid Canadian iPhone question... I've ordered an iPhone 4 off the Apple web store. Does it come with a blank SIM?
There's a utility on the Fido site to transfer my number/account from one SIM to another, but I'd like to know whether I need to order a micro-SIM from Fido. (I'm currently away from the city and Fido dealers.)
I tried calling the 1-800 number on the Canadian Apple website, but gave up when I got stuck in voice prompts talking about AT&T. (Though it occurs to me that that may have been because I was using my Skype account, which has a US number.) I'll call Fido next.

Just called again, got another employee this time who says that they have no details on shipments and when they will arrive and never did, wtf?
I called yorkdale this morning and the girl said they have no clue when they get them. I called eatons centre and the guy told me they had none but to call back in the afternoon and check. Slightly annoying not knowing an exact day of shipments.

Bumpers do not come with the iPhone. You have to order it using the Case Program App after your purchase.
