Has anyone's order from the Apple Canada store shipped yet? Mine is supposed to ship on August 20th...
my HUP from Rogers shipped today
ordered on Friday through retentions (like posted before)... can't wait to finally get it.
on a side note.. my friend got a bumper today and it came in full retail packaging.. (not sure if this was discussed before or not)

Booked a Genius appointment for tomorrow evening, regarding my iPhone 4 with a dead pixel. I called the store and the lady was very nice and said to just make the appointment and they will help me out.
I am going to scan the entire screen for dead/stuck pixels before I leave. Is there an app I can download to help check for them?

dead = black
stuck = coloured
try running one of the apps in the app store (i forget what it's called.. google it) which flashes a bunch of colours for a period of time.

It's dead, it's black. I have no stuck pixels. Just hope the new one has neither.
Came back from a genius appointment and said the green spot in photos is a known issue and can't give me a replacement. Here's a twist the girl did an inspection on the phone and found out the built in modem resets 7 times in two weeks which is not a good number so they'll replace my phone afterall.
Mine says the same thing. But I called and confirmed that I would only be charged $159 plus activation fee

they bumped up my shipping from the 20th to the 17th
and the delivery from the 26th to the 23rd so excited
BUT FEDEX site says it delivers by 12:00pm on THURSDAY the 19th
so happy, so worth the expedited shipping 13 bucks
it just got picked up at SHENZHEN CN

You should be able to get a quick replacement I hope. I took my phone in for a speck of dust on the screen and they replaced it without question. A defect is a defect they told me.

I'm hoping my Canadian friends can help me here. I have a friend that recently relocated to Toronto. I ordered an iphone from the Canada Apple site and had it shipped to his address. I plan to have him ship it to me in the US, so that I can have a factory unlocked phone.
I told him to ship it via Canada XPress Post, which seems to be the cheapest option. Question is, are there any charges added to the shipment such as duty or additional taxes, etc? I'm assuming you have to declare the contents and wondering if there any additional fees added.

so i'm in my kitchen eating breakfast.. and i see the canada post truck pull up.
i'm thinking, sweet.. my iPhone 4 is here.
i look out the window, and the guy is delivered the package to my new neighbours.
they're unit 102, i'm unit 112. so i'm thinking the worst.. maybe he ****ed up.
i go upstairs, check my tracking and it says ITEM HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED
i knew at that point that my neighbours had my phone, but why? i was home, and my cars in the driveway as well.
i go to my new neighbours and ask about the package they just got. i asked if it was theirs, they said no it's for some Alex guy.. me
she gave me the package and now i finally have my new iPhone

nope. the package clearly states my address (unit 112)... they just moved in, so they thought they were taking mail for the people that moved out yesterday!
called canada post already, they said they're gonna investigate and call me back.
On FedEx it says it just arrived in Mississagua

they would be responsible, teach them to pay attention to training drivers.
i'm an honest person though. and thank god my new neighbours are nice. they could've easily told me to f off lol.
