Hey everyone I finally took the plunge and called Retentions....
This is what I was given....although the climax of the phone call was when she asked me "How much do you want to pay?" LOL I wish every company worked like that! lol
Anyhow, details below....
350 day minutes WAS $30 NOW $20
nights/weekends @ 5 still $9
iPhone value pack WAS $30 NOW $20
6GB Data WAS $30 NOW $20
name display still $2
System Access fee and 911 fee are FREE for one year....although I'm going to call and see if I can also have that for the duration of my contract like the rest of the discounts.....Or can they only give it to you one year at a time??
Anyhow my old plan was $105.88 tax included and my new plan is $68.98
That's a savings of $36 a month!!

A little advice for future callers.....ALWAYS BE NICE and just play the "I really like Rogers a lot and the service they provide but at the end of the day, I'm going to go where I save the most money" routine.

Hehe, just go buy a case. That's what I did because there was no way I was going to wait for my free one to ship and not have a case on mine for 3-5 weeks.

I'm the biggest freak when it comes to protecting things. I didnt take out the plastic cover on my laptop outside until it couldnt stay on anymore.
my 3g got the screen protector and case as soon as it was delivered. I used my 3GS for a couple of days with the plastic on until i got my protector, but put the case on asap.
that being said i still havent put on a screen protector on my i4. I'm waiting for it to delivered and have had my phone for 2 weeks now. I just got a cheap $5 bumper from rogers and have been using the phone since and am loving it. Not even one scratch. I think you should be fine, but thats just my opinion, its your phone and i understand why you dont want to take it out w/o any protection.
thats a good plan, nice one to build up from and get it cheaper while adding more options. They can give you full three years if they want, its up to them
Yah i alread bought one on ebay last week.. thats what my grief is now.. And plus im away for work and the phone is currently in the box in my bag lol and i just kepe looking at it.
Also i got one of those screen protectors coming which i ordered early last week but again im away from home until like friday...
Haha yea.. Damn im almost thinking of going to just find the closest cell shop and pick up a cheap case.
I've been using my iPhone 4 since launch day with no case or screen cover and there isn't a scratch on it. Looks like I just pulled it out of the box.
Exactly. I just got my bumper today, but the phone doesn't have a single scratch on it. No worries about using it for a while without a case.
Hey for what it's worth, most people who order from Apple frequently and get expedited shipping (myself included) are of the opinion that it's a cash grab and not worth it. The packages have never arrived any faster. Apple tends to ship Fedex Express on anything coming in from overseas or the USA to Canada even with 'regular shipping' and it doesn't get any faster than that. If it's coming from Apple Canada in Markham it will be 1 day to most places in ontario with ground or air anyways. I guess expedited shipping MIGHT help in that case if you aren't in Ontario, but I've never known a new item like an iPhone or a Mac to come from Apple Canada, usually it's warranty replacements or accessories.
Wouldn't mind some other people weighing in on this topic too....

w00t! My order just shipped (ordered two 32GB unlocked ones from the Apple Canada store). ETA is Friday, August 20. Good timing as my order from the SGP store for screen protectors + cases came today.
And I've had a case on from day 1 ...but no screen protector, and already have a scratch on it

just put my zaggs full body and i gotta say, i'm not the biggest fan..
the back went on fine but the front was such a pain and now there are millions of bubbles all over which are supposed to smooth over in the next day or so.. HOPEFULLY.
If not, does anybody have any other recommendations for a screen protector? I wil leave the back on, the bumper will go on to protect the sides but I need a very good screen cover that's like it's not there.. I've ordered some cheap monoprice ones for the time being so if anyones got recommendations please let me know

Don't worry about the front screen...I too have a Zagg for the back only....my front is fine still. I just don't rub it up against anything at any time.
Let us know if you decide to go that route or if you find a good front shield protector.
How would I go about getting it even cheaper? Just keep on calling and asking for reductions?
I have about as many options as I need at the moment...can't really think of anything else I'll need.
What does everyone think about this plan compared to yours....Is there anywhere else I can make deductions? I definitely like to get the system access fee extended for my full term like the rest of the credits.
