Question...why is Rogers advising their employees not to speculate on a July 30th release? That kinda makes me nervous. All I know is if it's not released on the 30th I'm going to get stabby! lol

It's really stupid. They could simply ask employees to say it'll launch on July 30th and as of now we don't have any other information.

Everyone is assuming Rogers gets it. But nothing is official until they say so everything we have been hearing is speculation.

haha I'm not sure where I heard that from, but yes it was probably from the Simpsons or an alike show.
But in all honesty though, I will get stabby! Come on Rogers, get to work already!
My money is betting that they will launch on the 30th...just can't figure out what all the secrecy is all about....maybe like you said earlier Draz, they are keeping it hush hush just so they can surprise us with a great announcement.
Guess we'll know soon enough.

Has anyone in this thread ever used Zagg invisible shield before?
I'm thinking maybe I'll purchase Zagg for the front and back of my IP4 and just keep it in a vertical belt clip leather case. I read it also comes with a side protector film to cover the antenna. They say it will stop any issues of poor reception due to death grip.
I'd love to hear some thoughts on Zagg, good or bad if you've used them for your 3G or 3GS in the past.

I am currently using the invisible shield on my 3gs. I really like the shield as it offers great protection and comes with a lifetime warranty. That being said, I don't use one on the screen anymore because it is not entirely invisible. It gives the screen a strange texture similar to an orange peel. I do highly recommend it anyways.
Also, if you have never installed one before set aside some extra time as it can be tricky. I suggest you watch the installation videos on zagg.com before starting.
but we know Apple should be getting it on July 30. i'll buy it unlocked if i have to, as long as they have white available.

Anyway, my plan was to get a bumper too and put it on with the wrapsol skin.
I heard wrapsol's first batch was bad but you like me am waiting to put it on to know for sure.
I used a skin from FullBodyFilms on my 3G and while the back started to yellow and peel after about a year, the screen cover was absolutely invisible and found it to be head & tails better than Zagg for clarity. No "orange peel" whatsoever.
This time around, however, I opted for a custom design from GelaSkins for the back & sides. We'll see how that goes, might still go for a screen cover from FBF.

wow that's great thanks for the link....it's a tough decision between Wrapsol (first I've ever heard of them, but product looks great) and Zagg.
The Wrapsol is a couple bucks more, but not by much.

BestSkinsEver...screw zagg and their overpriced stuff...wrapsol is nice for the packaging and matte finish but BSE is tops for price and quality of the product
one can only wish but I think we will not hear anything until Friday at the earliest. Rogers loves doing everything last minute. I wouldn't be surprised if we had to wait until mid next week to hear anything about upgrades.
Also, who wants to take bets that the rogers HUP system will crash on launch day.
Fair odds are probably 1000 to 1 that it WONT crash.
I wish rogers would just admit "Hey, it costs us too much to increase the robustness of our system for one day a year, so you guys will just have to wait for hours and hours to get your transaction complete" I'd rather this than just being surprised by waiting until 1pm every launch to leave the damn store.
ugh.....even though ATT has a crap network, at least its well prepared for every apple launch (in terms of communication surrounding pricing and HUPs)
Question : I currently don't have any cell phone but I really want to get an iphone4, I checked the plans and I wanna go with telus. So how does it work... Can I just go to telus store on the 30th and buy one with a new contract or do I need to buy one with apple??
You can go to either of the places.
They will activate the phone for you at the Apple store too.
Go where you will get less lines, more phones.
Go to Telus. I am not certain that you will be able to purchase anything except full price, unlocked phones directly from Apple.
Until more info is confirmed, if you know you're ok with a contract, just go to the carrier on launch day.
