What I haven't decided yet, is if there are no white ones at launch (praying), will I buy a black one?
He has only made 5 posts since joining in May (not that post count means that much) and seemingly I cannot find any of his previous ones. One previous post of his was apparently to "announce" the iPhone would be released on Rogers in mid-July.

As much as I hate to be one of those commenters who posts their second hand information, here's mine: I know someone who works with Fido who says Rogers is still in negotiations with Apple regarding the launch date. He said no one has mentioned the launch being delayed, just that Rogers can't confirm it until the negotiations are finalized.

Part of me almost wishes Apple punishes Rogers for being such gigantic dyks and doesnt let them have the 4.......then I would have to switch carriers so nah, I take that back.

But seriously, Rogers needs to get moving with the info, maybe they are planning some super amazing upgrade deal for everyone. There have been a couple threads/posts about this.
Rogers as of today has not sent out anything regarding a delay until the 2nd. The information block is most likely on Apple's level it appears most carrier reps (not store level, btw) are just as clueless as everyone else with the exception of the 30th being the release date. With 8 days to go time is running out so I would imagine we know more by the end of the week, if not, I would expect some last minute hasty announcements mid-next week.
when i first started reading your post, i thought u were gonna mention preorders lol.. obviously, we're not getting them, i said that from the start... and i dont see bell or telus posting their plans, etc, so why are ppl on rogers' nuts? i hate them as much as the next guy (im with fido), but ppl seem to bash rogers when they have no valid reason whatsoever..

I'm not bashing Rogers at all, in fact, I've never had a major problem with them and I don't think I'd switch from them if given the option. What I've been trying to say is that while Rogers is notorious for being unreasonably secretive, I don't think this is their "fault" this time around. If anyone wants someone to blame for the lack of information this time around, it's Apple. I think it's been made clear since the announcement there would be no pre-orders through the carriers, however I think people (myself included) are still holding out hope that Apple allowed them online. Purchasing from Rogers is my last resort, I would prefer to purchase the sim free iPhone 4 from Apple if they offer it. Although, if white is not available at launch then none of this really matters.
Why is everyone getting worried that Rogers haven't announced anything yet? Telus and bell pretty much confirmed what weall know, and that's not very helpful. What we all want are the pricing and I think Rogers is going to announce the phone availability when they have the pricing done.

Unfortunately I find 'My Rogers is down for maintenance' every other day. Its meaningless to speculate that its iPhone 4 related, as the other 10+ times i've seen that in the past month has led to no substantial noticeable changes?
You are absolutely correct. I am only providing an potentially useful observation.
The real outage to watch for is when Apple closes the online store like we've seen many times before for new product launches and pricing:
