Yea, I have a feeling that second gen iPad is going to be much better than the first gen. Most likely a little cheaper as well. January most likely, given that it was announced in January this year.

I'm hoping that this $35/5gb plan comes with the iPhone 4 launch.

Telus has:
$20 / 200mb with a cap of $50 / 5gb


We are still waiting on any special iPhone promotions this year. As in previous years we had a 6gb/$30 plan but many are hoping that this plan comes out. If not then we can settle for the 5gb/$35 plan.

Rogers has been great everywhere I've been in Ontario, fast speeds, great coverage everywhere I've been.

draz, are you saying you don't have the 6GB/$30? The way you worded that implies you don't, just wondering.

Anybody else just get a pop up on there iPhone to update there Rogers caarrier settings ?

When i check it's now Version 7.2

Could this be in preperation for IP4 ?

That update came out a week or so ago. Pretty sure the other carriers got it too, so maybe.

That's a bit odd, I got the push for 7.2 last week (16th). Anyway, I'm sure it's somehow related to the iPhone 4. Really disappointed to hear about the white iPhone being delayed yet again, I suppose it will be black until the white iPhone's hit. Right now I think I'll see how Rogers handles upgrades from the 3GS and possibly go that route until the white is available from Apple.

I just received the pop up notification last night too. It's weird how some people got it last week, some people today. It usually happens for me when I open settings, general, about.

Draz just a question....if you already have the $30/6gb plan, why would you want them to bring back a $35/5gb plan? To be honest I never even knew there was such a thing.

Of course the second gen iPad is going to be better. It's probably going to be WAAAAAY better! Well I hope so anyways. I hope you're right about it being released in January, considering Apple usually updates their products every year on the same month.

I definitely will buy the next iPad...looking really forward to it.

How many people in this thread already own an iPad and how many are waiting until 2nd gen to buy one??

If I were to buy the wifi only model would I be able to use mywi with the iPhone to tether a connection to the iPad??

1 more week guys and gals!!! I'm a little nervous with the white model not being available now that it will make it getting a black one MUCH harder!
 
I bought an ipad in buffalo on April 3rd and use my 3gs and mywi to get data on my iPad when I'm outside of a wifi network.....I'm going to have to wait until a solid jailbreak for iPhone 4 exists, because I can't give up the mywi. That being said, I will just get a black iPhone 4 next friday (wanted white, ugh) and then use my 3gs until a reliable jailbreak for iPhone 4 comes out.
 
Oh wow, if Apple can delay the white iPhone this close to its launch I'm terrified of a delayed Canadian launch. :(

they have plenty of black in stock, dont worry. There was a BGR report that Apple was trying to clear all waiting lists by this weekend....some stores had 2k plus iPhones in stock.

Stores in the US I'm guessing you mean right?

I wonder when the Canadian stores will receive their stock?

yeah, American stores.

I'm thinking that those who want to continue to wait for the white iPhone might be screwing themselves over, if they upgraded to 3g and 3gs at launch the last two years. If it takes two months for the white iPhone to launch, and you upgrade at that time, you will be pretty much disqualifying yourself from upgrading at launch every year, as rogers will probably only let you upgrade once a year at the very most.

I'm just gonna bite the bullet and get a black one, which breaks my streak of 2 consecutive years of white.
 
Line Ups

Planning to line up at a Rogers store on Friday morning. How do we all feel about line lengths??? When to get there? I'm thinking 8am should be fine.

it won't be like the G20 protests

also - I'm in London, so not quite as big as Toronto.

Hey,

Same here. I'm just not sure if I'm going to the apple store or a Rogers store. I live on Yonge and Sheppard. So fairview mall is close as well as two Rogers stores. I'm just not sure If I trust rogers. Some of them are privatly owned. How can I tell which Rogers store is owned by Rogers themselves. Also one Apple rep told me that they will be able to see my rogers account and if I'm eligible for an upgrade or not. Just like US apple stores see AT&T users and give me subsidized prices. Is that true or what?
