Actually sorry it's only going to be one store....and it's going to be at Upper Canada Mall.

Um, not really. That's pretty north - seems to be in New Market (north of Richmond Hill).
I wish we had an Apple store near the Hamilton/Burlington area...the closes one to me would be the Eaton Center. Is that the location nearest to you?
Ya, Eaton center is my go-to Apple Store (30 minute walk or so). It's a pretty good store that seems to get stuff rather quick. I've always been treated well there. Gets kind of busy tho.
Have you ever waited in line on a launch day there? Do you plan on purchasing iphone 4 through your wireless company or are you going to go unlocked?
I got my 3G through a friend of a friend at the Fido store in the Eaton Center about a week or two after launch, back in '08.
Not sure how I plan to do it this year. I'm still with Fido (still have a year of my flippin 3 year contract left) and have like $150 fido dollars saved up, so I may just go through them. Really not sure though.
I've never waited in line at the mall for anything.

it was already known that apple would release the 8gb 3gs in Canada on the 24th.....so the carriers are releasing it the day after....ok.
but how can anyone make any connections between the new 3gs and the iPhone 4? What evidence is there to suggest that iPhone 4 could be slated for an early release in Canada? The opinions on iPhone 4 release stated in this article are totally baseless.
All this talk about Apple stores makes me want one close to me. The closest I think is in Toronto, or just outside Toronto, 40-45 minutes away I think.
Why can't Apple have more Apple Stores in Canada. We always get screwed in Canada.

Upper Canada Mall is at Davis Drive/Highway 9 and Yonge Street, around 17000 or 18000 Yonge. It's across Highway 9 from the Newmarket bus terminal, where the Viva premium express buses from Finch subway terminate. It's still part of the GTA, but it's definitely getting out there.
There are currently Apple Stores in the Eaton Centre, Sherway Gardens, Square One, Fairview Mall, and Yorkdale. I'm surprised they don't put in a fancy flagship store somewhere in Toronto... rumour on UrbanToronto had it that one was going into the original project at One Bloor East, before that one folded and was replaced by the present project.
I'm also wondering why they don't put an Apple Store in Halifax.

the 3gs is being released on friday so the iphone 4 clearly is going to be released early......thats the logic used in the article. Seems quite flawed to me.
I can barley wait for the iphone4 to come to canada. Im sucking the last few drops of life out of my 3g, I dont know how much longer it will last. I refuse to sell this phone until there is a finite realease date for the phone in canada.
I know a few people working at Rogers- and they are as much in the blue as we are. I mean they all know there is a top secret project in the works but no one is intitled to information.
Im hoping that the phone comes out in July though. I live by an apple store (squareone) and work above the eaton centre, so I will probably reserve it when it is realeased and pick it up from the eaton center.

Yep, I was going to check something on myRogers. Either that or they got a new set of admin staff and they completely buggered up their web server

Nope. That took out the cell comms for a good 20 minutes though.
anyone else glad that we get a delayed launch. With all the complains about signal, and yellow screen, I will gladly wait a bit longer and get the phone without any major bugs
