Apple Store Problem?
LOL...so just show up around 5:00pm at the Apple store and I'm guranteed an easy upgrade? Oh what the hell...I'm going to do that but didn't someone post a few pages ago that the Apple store uses the same Rogers/Bell/Telus interface and woundn't the same non-eligible status come up?
Should I still go Square One Apple store or would they run out off stock by the evening? I'm saying no since this looks like the lowest key launch ever.

DAMN! There goes my plan.
Plan B! But I gotta get into work early - lots of demand at this new job. Lots to learn and the skills I'll learn will be worth it in the long run.
Yeah what the **** ? No info yet. I called them and they told me no upgrade for customers with iphones unless it's been at the very least a year.... if i was with rogers id be saving 250$ right now....
I don't really care about the unlocked thing since there is a law that should take action before my contract is over about how carriers will have to unlock your phone after 2 years or something like that

One of our members AE just notified me that there are 45 people outside of fairview already. That's f'n insane!
I'm not showing up to my telus location until about 6:30 this morning. And if I have to I will hit up bestbuy too.

are you getting an unlocked one? if not try some of the rogers plus stores
fairview is looking less and less likely but i will still drive there in the morning. i have a few rogers plus store in mind, hopefully they wont be soo busy

True. I barely got any sleep last night so I think I am going to take a nap and wake up around 3:30.
Do you know if they will open the parking lot at Fairview early just for today (or at least the area near the #3 entrance?)
I will drive around and then maybe end up at Sherway too? So far from me though. Don't know if it is worth it. After playing with one today though, I really want it!
I am thinking of HUPing and getting an unlocked one as well (as a gift). Whichever is there and available.

There is a Rogers Plus store about 1 minute from my house and I drove by there at 11:30 on my way home just for kicks to see if there was a lineup. Didn't really look like it, but I saw some teenage-young 20s boy and 2 girls who may have been starting a line?
This is the one at York Mills/Leslie. I went there for the 3G launch and was about 37 in line or something. Went around 6am. However, didn't get one from there because I wanted a white one and they only got 2 in stock. Ridiculous how little stock there is.

Also, I think Apple Stores will have a large stock and now with great pricing ($159/$269 and early HUP), I think a lot of people (especially mainstream consumers) will be getting it subsidized. Hopefully more unlocked iPhones for you and I (those looking for one).
Here's hoping Telus updates their site at 12PM and says the exact same thing as Rogers for upgrade.
Virgin mobile canada site is down...the countdown ended at 12 and now i can't even see the site.

So according to twitter...Fido said they'll restart a new 3 yrs contract but when I spoke to a CSR today, she told me it'll be 3 yrs + the old contract? I'm already eligible for an phone upgrade...

It's worked fine for me all day. The only suggestion I can offer is make sure you're putting your postal code is in ALL caps, otherwise it will return the off-contract pricing by default.
