I use a pelican case at home for my MacBook pro to keep it safe from the kids.

Has anyone seen or heard of a pelican case or other similar brand with a small, hard, super protective case?

Ok, I just updated the thread with more stuff.

Here's the detailed changelog for March 21, 2010
Added: LONG LIVE BOOKS, twelevesouth, moudularR

Updated:Apple, Hard Graft, foofshop, hard candy

New: Docks/Body Covers/Stands/Stylus section now in second post instead of in first post. Added stylus from ten design, stands/covers/privacy filter from macally

New: Third post will be used for list of stores and other accessories that's not certified iPad but should work fine. Added stores: Rei, Roots, Kenneth Cole, RadTech, Tumi, Louis Vuitton, eBags, Kifaru

Kifaru's bag is...just interesting.

Everybody who keep requesting the mods to stick the thread, just report the thread to mods by going to my first post, click the report icon and ask for stickiness. You guys can create a thread in the mods forum to ask as well. It would look weird if I ask to sticky a thread myself, I rather it comes from you guys.

I am ready - well I think...

Have received my personal muzetto with black secondary colour

and have now ordered a hard graft case to actually keep it intact inside...

I opted for this case versus the other as I liked the leather pouch on outside and the black strap (is that really sad??) They are actually shipping the case already, so should have before April :D

Oh and just for fun to see what it is like I ordered the pogo sketch, may be useful for taking notes in meetings or just doodling :p

Well that will keep me going until happyowl, or something similar comes along. Which is what I will use for work...

Oh and already have a Dexim 8, use it for iPhone 3G the battery is not what it used to be :( (when do we start to discuss the next iPhone lol) I actually ordered the dexim 5, but the company I got it from in UK must of sold out so sdent me this one, not complaining as what £20 more expensive!
The site now says it will work with iPad too, will be a slow charge but useful for those long trips :p

I like the Apple case so I think I'll go with that initially, although I might buy something nicer at a later date.

Great thread! :)

The Muzetto is now available in a new size for the Ipad. It is the Portable Muzetto. Price is $10 more than the Personal Muzetto. They are taking pre-orders.

It will still fit in the personal just re-checked measurements... But doh - typical!

BeyzaCases Thinvelope for iPad

As of yesterday, Beyza Cases announced they are taking pre-orders for the Thinvelope for the iPad. The thinvelope is a fantastic sleeve for the MacBook Air and this looks very professional and sophisticated. (And it's on sale).

My Thinvelope outlasted my MacBook Air. I always loved this sleeve. I'm so glad they released it for the iPad.

Caselogic Bag

Found a nice carry bag for the Ipad. CaseLogic VNA-210( on their site ). About $20. Has a strap and some compartments. Made for a 10 inch netbook, but will work fine for the Ipad. I ordered one last week.

Hope you come back and let us know what you think of the pogo sketch. I got a similar device for my iPhone but did not like it.

I bought the sketch yesterday. The only thing that's different from other stylus is that pogo has a soft tip. I have a stylus that has a hard tip and it just sucks, i have to press it really hard to get it to respond. From what I seen in youtube videos and reviews, sketch works pretty well.

Haven't been through this whole thread, but didn't see it mentioned up front

Until Some better cases come along I ordered an SGP AG for my screen cover and I plan on toting it around in a Speck TuckPack which is really for 13" Macbook Pro but figure this will do nicely for iPad with an eventually case as well as iPhone.

I love the "book cases" just for their cleverness, but I signed up to be notified when the modulaR is released as that seems extremely practical. I can't believe how expensive some of these are, though. Honestly, I can't imagine paying $100, $150, even $200 for a case/sleeve/bag no matter how nice it looks.

Even on sale, it still seems like a lot of money for something that's mostly made of canvas (which is what I assume because they don't state what the material is). I like the design, but for 110 euro (almost $150 dollars U.S.), I would expect it to be made entirely of leather.

Actually, their products are all made from a full grain cowhide. There is a 'our leather' area that describes it.

Not all of their products are all leather. If you go through and look, many of the iphone cases are in canvas with leather trim, which is what the thinvelope looks like, given the two-tone nature. It would be nice if they would say something about it in the product description to confirm whether or not it is all leather.

What you think is canvas is really cowhide. The smooth/colored leather is tanned and dyed.

really nice case, but why don't they design the flip open one?

Since I had already placed an order for the Personal Muzetto I got an email informing me of this new size and telling me that if I chose, they would send it to me instead at the same price that I had paid for the Personal.....Fine with with me!

Today I was out at a local mall and picked up an excellent Tumi tote bag which will be another way to transport my iPad when I've got other things besides just it...... The Tumi tote comes in several different colors and looks as though it will be really good.

I'm a bit confused on the difference between the personal and portable so let us know how it works. It looks like the personal should have plenty of space for your iPad. It dimensions are 10.5x8.5x1.5 The portable is actually larger. I don't see why you would buy a sleeve then buy a bag to put the sleeve in. Seems excessive to me.
Actually I think that their Ultimate Sleeve is plenty of protection and is customizable. The leather trim is especially nice.
