if you check the other canadians with tracking you will see we all have 1 pound as our package weight not sure why. ill keep y'all (thats how its said right?) updated as i learn more.

Can we all stop with this anti-watch-excitement rhetoric? It's been bouncing around everywhere, and we even had a few threads calling us immoral for it. You don't know crap about what problems people might have, but at least we can all come here to vent our excitement and nerves about this one shared moment in our lives with like-minded people... then we go back to the real world. I think I speak for most of us when I say, we are all getting tired of rehashing this point. Yes, there are bigger problems in the world, and we all know that. We are also eager to get our watches. Both things can exist simultaneously. I don't appreciate the undertone of judgement against our perspective into the world's problems, based on some discussions about :apple:Watch.
 
Man I wish I got this email! Considering I stayed up, ordered @ 12:03, and got sent straight to 5/13-5/27 with my 42 SS leather loop.... It could be worse folks, you'll still get yours before I will. :(
 
They probably sent this email due to the endless inbound queries from people here to their support lines asking about when their watch will arrive.

If I was a company and all my customers were calling me asking this, despite having given them a delivery window, it sounds perfectly logical to conclude "clearly that window has not been made clear enough as everyone is still asking when their each will arrive". Sending a reminder email would make sense.

Also I said nothing about the iPhone. I said Apple Watch. Maybe this is causing misunderstanding? And when I say it hasn't been born yet I didn't mean they haven't started production on it yet I meant it's not done yet.

That typo was corrected before you even posted...but ok. Please share your source if you claim they haven't completed production for 1st round shipments

even if that's true, it backfired SPECTACULARLY, and why wouldn't it? You'd think apple would realize that early adopters and apple fanatics will always be the way we are. It's inevitable. I'm sure more rational people 3 months out would read it correctly if that was the true meaning.

I still say CYA.

Apple has used this email a many many prior launches and it has never been considered the email of death until now. One poster started this crap and people just ran with it.

i dunno i been doing this since the ip4 and i have never gotten the email before

have you gotten it yourself? cause i haven't ever. granted its the first time i ever ordered from the apple store itself.

I am sure that it wasn't sent to people because they won't be getting it on Friday, simply to encourage people to be patient, and there is a chance they won't get it Friday, just like the original shipping estimate said when they ordered.

I got the email also. I have 2 watch in the 24-8 time frame. I got the email on the one that is in processing the other which is preparing for shipment I received no such email. Don't really know if it means anything either way so I will keep hoping until the ups truck passes my house or only leaves the one.
 
42mm sports black, confirmed 09:03 and 38mm sports pink, confirmed 09:04 in Germany: Got mail for both. So I'm out for tomorrow :(
I should have ordered each sports color once just to be sure to get one on launch.

Anglea needs to go if this is how she treats customers. Never received the email of death before until today
