115mph on an 1150 GS.

Not particulary quick compared to some of the speeds listed here but I was with a cop on a training course (BikeSafe). We were running a bit late when he said, "Stick with me". I did. :)

I've gone up to 95. Took ten minutes to get that fast, as I'm in a hyundai accent. I had to get from SW houston to far east Houston as quickly as I could. Huge emergency.. not good. If it were any normal time I'd just cruise along at ~65.

somewhere between 150 and 160 mph (i think it was about ~156) in a 2006 BMW 645Ci convertible put in sport mode and in tiptronic 6-speed.

best part about my story is that while doing this (on a country road by my house) the top was down the entire time

BTW - the car is my biological mother's, not mine :D

Probably 155. BMWs sell in the states with a governor at 155mh.

You can get it removed if you wish, but I'd be concerned over hood bulge any faster.

Mine would be 175 in a "slightly" modified M6 on my senior prom night. That was quite possibly the most fun I've ever had in a car.

hm.. 220km/h (137mph) beamer 530 couple years ago cruising down to cape town from jhb, SA. mmmm converging roads, green landscape.. and you still occasionally get overtaken...

That's my fastest on the autobahn this summer. Going back this summer, so hopefully the wife will let me max the VW passat rental this time.

I'm still not driving yet, but me and a couple of mates drove up past Leeds once. It's a single motorway right there, no cars on, very late. Pushed the car to its limits (with the wind helping) of 130mph/209.21kph. It was actually quite surreal, I thought we were going at 70 or 80. The passenger mirror fell off.

Paul went through at least 2 or 3 speed cameras so the rest of the evening was spent in carte blanche, of speeding past police folk. In the end there wasn't a single repercussion. Barring the missing mirror.

I hit 164 Mph in our C5 Z06. Scary fast, the white stripe dashes turn into solid lines its nuts.

245 kms/h on 401 east going to pickering, i was dared to go as fast as the car could go (2002 porshe 911 targa) i stopped at 245 because my friend got too scared and asked me to slow down....

My ones...

~170Km/h in 1984 BMW 520i
~220Km/h in my father's audi.
~260KM/h in brother's BMW 540i- (gov removed)
~250KM/h in my sweet Honda Bike.

All in 100Km/h zones in New Zealand.

130mph / 210 when I first got my GTI after breaking it in, would've pushed it more but I was entering a high traffic area. Good thing I didn't surpass it, if you pass 150mph the ecu records it and if your dealer checks they will void the warranty (for VW)

Nice!

I'd love to drive on the Autobahn. I've ridden in a car going 120 mph but haven't driven there yet. I feel like, coming from Boston, I'm a danger. lol. That and I need to learn to drive a stick shift....

I've gone about 110mph in a 97 camery (scared the **** out of me cause the thing would only go straight at that speed) and now...well I'm older and I tend not to drive so fast or reckless. Plus I drive an SUV and I'm always afraid of it flipping over....

Top achievement: 80mph in my old Land-Rover Series III :D

When I was driving my Series IIa 88" (w/ overdrive) down a mountain in CO I looked at the speedo and (of course) it was fluctuating wildly between 70 and off the top. My wife was behind me and when we got home she said, "Did you know you were going about 80 down that one pass?". If I had known that I really was going this speed I would have engaged the time travel lever...
