im 15 but i used to race go karts :p

60mph but that will be bushed past 100 once i drive, ON A TRACK

people dont understand the dangers of speeding on a road. Many people think its just the same as a racetrack but its not

o, and about 600 in a plane

I went for a spin in my friends new HSV Clubsport (2003, 280 kW), took it up to about 180 km/h (112 mph) coming off a highway onramp before letting off the gas.

It's got more push than the diesels I usually drive.

140 MPH on the Autobahn in a heavily modded MINI Cooper S. Done in an unrestricted zone so legal. Other than that I hit 120 on several rings (tracksO on several occasions.

By the way, whats the fastest you can go before you get caught? Most highways have 65mph as the maximum here in California. Ofcourse, realistically, people seem to drive above 70-80. So I was just curious.

In Ohio, you can go around 5-7mph over the limit past a patrol and he will not pursue you. Once you approach closer to 10mph over, your chances go up a lot. It also depends on the other traffic around you and where you are (city limits/country/residential)

My first and only ticket was for going 71 in a 55. I was trying to make it home from uni before a huge ice storm hit within the hour (I commute). Needless to say, the delay of ticketing caused me to be stuck in said storm in an even more unsafe situation than my speeding violation.

I ended up in slipping into a ditch a mile from my house, had to walk home, get our tractor and chains to pull myself out...
This day, I was not a fan of the state hwy patrol...

Heh, I got 95mph on my old 4cyl, 5 speed manual Ford Escort on some curvy backroad, and last month, 130mph in my Honda Accord V6 automatic, on the freeway. I havent gotten a ticket yet, most speed limits here arent enforced all that much, most people do 70 in 55 zones...

in NY state, the oinkers just sit on the side of the road plucking people off one by one. It's mentally challenged how they spend all their time getting income for the state rather than stopping real crime. all the while we pay for their stupid suv's that get 11 mpg.

110 mph on my stock '04 Victory Vegas (coulda gone faster but I chickened out), not sure how accurate the speedo is, may not have been 110 but it felt like it, had 5 miles of interstate 80 all to myself! Well ok, 1 car got on in front of me.

There was a fire at a chemical warehouse with barrels shooting 500 feet in the air and black smoke across the road after the previous entrance so they stopped traffic. Cops on the other side werent much interested either since they had bumper to bumper traffic for miles over there.

Fastest speed in car

In a 1990 Chevy Cavalier Z24 on DVP then on the HWY 401 in Toronto ...

220+KM/H ... at 3-4AM on a Sunday morning. Hardly any traffic for almost 1mins from DVP onto the On Ramp of 401. By the time I got to Yonge I notice a see of red lights in front of me, then suddenly 1-by-1, then 4-by-4, get brighter in front of me. I was reclined and in cruise control when I saw this, then sat right up. Quickly beginning to turn off cruise and apply the break ... gently. Trying to weave through a labyrinth of cars while at 195-165km/h is NOT fun! When I reached 165Km/h I was really beginning to panic as even the express lane was getting packed, pretty much no more maneouver room left - thinking an accident was pending do to my fault. I glanced to the right where out of the corner of my eye I noticed some fancy bright lights. It was not the local police, but OPP cruisers with huge radar triangles on the roofs ... I counted about 6 (hey I was going fast) before I stomped on the pedal and did some horseshoe-up-my-skinny-black-ass magic and found my way through the labyrinth and took the next exit off the highway (doing 115km/h on a 75km/h tight apex off ramp).

That was the last time I tried to be Mario Andretti. Luckily no ticket, never got pulled over. Actually I think I was going too quick & they where just too busy to notice me.

My daily commute usually tops out at about 200 - 220 km/hr (125 - 137 mph) on the A5 (when I'm not slowing down for one of the many frickin work zones). Fastest ever was about 237 kph (147 mph).

60 MPH!!! :D:D:D

I just got back from drivers ed today (only have my permit as of now) and drove on the highway for the first time today (the belt parkway aka I-278 in Brooklyn) and that was probably one of the most fun things I have ever done. Ever. I am a car enthusiast and that moment is what I was waiting for for 12 years (I'm 16 and 1/2 now). I CAN'T wait to get my license!!!

Sure, it was a mid 1990's Toyota Corrola (drivers ed cars tend to perform terribly) but it was still fun. Although, I like driving my 2007 Honda Odyssey better (my dad takes me practice driving in that), it has more power, better braking, better handling (by better handling I mean easier to maneuver), and it's a freaking mini van lol.

Three seperate occations.

A friend of mine in college had a Ferrari 512 BB. We got it up to 174MPH going to Birmingham on I20/59

I had a Taurus SHO with a SuperCharger and personally got it up to 168MPH, and Eye, you will know this road. Between Baton Rouge and Lafayette.

Going to Arizona in 1988, my Mustang GT 5.0 with SuperCharger 163MPH going across the Texas desert on I-10. Wow, there is nothing in west Texas from San Antonio to El Paso. Well, Ft. Stockton and Van Horn ;)

Was that I-10 or going through "Crotch" Springs on Hwy 190? :D

I want to drive in the I-50 in nevada. I saw a special about it on Top Gear (I illegally torrent it just so I can watch it every week, no other way, don't have BBC America). It's just straight road for miles with literally no other cars at all. I definitely would test a car's limits there (once I get the chance :p). I also want to drive on those nice roads in Upstate NY.

135 mph in my 650i. Would have gone faster, but the dude beside to me already had too much fun. :)

Oh to be young and count 1/2 years again... LOL :p

You, know as I have been getting older, time has been moving faster and faster. I used to think a year was a long time, and now, a year goes by like that (snaps fingers). seriously, December 2008 doesn't feel that long ago, nor does december 2004... I used 16.5 because that means i only have 6 months until my full license

well when i drive my toyota highlander i'm limited to 110 MPH......

and when i drive my toyota matrix i'm limited to 105-108MPH...can't tell really, although i would love to take the limitor off both of them....

and then my highlander can go 140MPH and matrix 130MPH:D;)

What's funny is that i have a 2004 pontiac vibe and it tops out at 117 and it has the exact same engine and everything as the matrix, the only thing thats different are the body molds and the pontiac symbol

Between 120-130 MPH in a Honda Accord Coupe on I-40 East headed toward Nashville, TN. This isn't your 3:00 AM no one was around kind of thing, I was pushing it in real traffic at about 6:30 to 7:00 PM trying to make it somewhere that was "oh so important". When I came upon slower moving 18 wheelers that blocked both lanes I would use the right hand shoulder to go around them. Young, dumb, and obviously believing I was invincible. Thinking back all I can say is thank goodness I survived.
