The feel of running the X naked

Interesting. I don't even know how I would start that! I set it on my desk at work and home all the time. I guess I could make a spot or something. Even still, I feel like you would need a pretty cushy surface to prevent the wobble of the X. It seems pretty severe.

This is just my preference, but I never set my iPhone down on a hard surface to notice the wobble. I usually have something soft Underneath it to prevent scratches, being that I don't use cases.

I’m the same. I use my iPhone X naked but have a shocksock sleeve for in my pocket. When on the table I just rest the phone on top of this.

My wife and I wanted to go naked. But after realizing that it might be a tad slippery, we just picked up some apple cases. No screen protector though. I think screen protectors look tacky as **** with the outline and ****.

The case I’m using (Apple silicone) literally covers up all the best looking parts of my phone. It’s a shame, but I don’t wanna risk it. Sometimes I like to take my covers off when at home, just to enjoy the design of my phones, so I guess I’ll do that here too.

Not to be cliche, but my case is Applecare+. This phone is also 10x grippier than my 7 Plus, so no worries here.

Not sure ive really seen anybody talk about this yet but the feel of this phone is different than anything ive used before.
One word to describe it is buttery smooth. The glass and stainless steel just feel way different than past iPhones. Almost feels soft in a way even though I know they are hard materials.
I do plan on running the X naked just like the all of my last ones going back to the 4.
My 3g was the only phone I had in a case.

Never used a case for the phone until the camera bump was introduced. I hate the camera bump especially now in the iPad. You can’t lay the devices flat on the desk and when writing on the iPad without a case makes it difficult.

I’ve done it with almost every IPhone but idk man, the price tag on this phone scares me. I have a thin “scratch” protection style case on this but I’m contemplating getting something a little thicker. I HATE cases so it’s tough lol

Again, as one of the previous posters said, Applecare Plus @£200 is my case.

If I use it without a case and after 6 months it gathers me to scratches and a technical fault, Apple Care will overnight be a refurbished device which means all those micro scratches vanish.

Just get a nice sleeve and done.
It's protected when in your pocket, and naked while holding it.

I agree it is fantastic naked.

But for $1500 CAD it is going in a case until near the end of its life for both grip and protection. Bonus is it flattens out the camera bump

I am not clumsy with my phones but I take them everywhere and ask a lot of them - sometimes they get dropped or are subject to other hard knocks.

Well a such phone needs some kind of care while using it.
But i would never put my iPhone inside a rubber bumper or case, this just destroys the haptic, look and feel what apple worked on.

I find a sleeve is enough protection for normal daily usage.

I'd at least get a Dbrands or Slickwraps skin for it, and one of those fulls screen tempered glass protectors, not the cheesy screen protectors that give that halo border look and don't go to the very edge of the screen, those look lame and cheap, but the full screen ones that have the black frame around it, etc...

Maybe, but even Apple recognizes there are people that want or need cases for their own uses. This is why they sell them.

I pay for the bill with my Wells Fargo credit card so its covered.
I also feel like im not like most as ive not had a case in 7 years.
The 7+ was SLIPPERY as hell and I didn't have any issues with it. I dropped it twice on my carpet but never outside.
The x is very similar to the jet black with the glass you have that friction.
Still I think the x is the best feeling iPhone or any phone ive ever held. I wouldn't want this in case

I’ve never run a case since the OG 2007 iPhone. And I’m not going to start with this stunning Silver X, haha!!

I did pick-up a clone of the Apple Siicone case on eBay in the OD Green color (Dark Olive in Apple Speak?) for when I’m running or biking, but it will be off at all other times. The X just feels too damn good in the hand!! Ultra-premium.
