^ it’s not about how thin it is or not. Any case or skin covering the phone doesn’t give the same feel as nothing at all. Clear is better than most but it still ruins it for me.

I love it. Bought a case, reluctantly put it on; 10 minutes later a lady in a bookshop walked into me and knocked my phone flying into a display cabinet.
Good thing that case was on.
[doublepost=1510047627][/doublepost]I want to go nude, but am almost certain I’d break my phone. It would most likely happen while getting out of the car and forgetting that my iPhone is in my lap—which happens more often than it probably should.

I used to have this happen with my car when I didn't use it for my car stereo and a separate holder up towards the middle top of the dash for the mount. My last two cars ive use this mount now and its never happened since.
It only seems to happen when I leave it in my pocket and dont use my phone for music. But you can change your habits on how you handle your phone. Seems like most people have this same problem. Phone on lab in car and get out and boom.
I think im also more aware of where my phone is now since I use it as my headunit (bypassed my stock deck and use a dsp/digital coax from the apple usb connection kit and a dac). I turn on my car put the phone in the car mount and plug it in. I turn off the car put my keys in my pocket before I get out(I used to drop my keys this way too leaving them on my lap). Then unplug the phone and usually hold it while getting out of the car now or put it in my pocket before.
The only two drops I ever had on my 6+ where from my lap getting out of the car.

So, after deciding to go ceaseless I have changed my mind after seeing my friends SG. He’s get two nicks on the top and bottom corners and multiple screen coating scratches.

I’m now rocking an Apple silicon case which feels premium. I’ll just take it off occasionally.

Here's a case for only $4.97 from amazon.com. I have amazon prime so I ordered it Saturday night and it arrived Monday. I'm extremely pleased with it! Has accurate cut outs and is thinner than the spigen cases, so it shows off the beauty of the iPhone X.

Edit: Just increased in price to $5.97!

You bought an $1100 dollar phone, and then you went cheap on the case. If I were to case my phone, I'd go with this ....

Not sure ive really seen anybody talk about this yet but the feel of this phone is different than anything ive used before.
One word to describe it is buttery smooth. The glass and stainless steel just feel way different than past iPhones. Almost feels soft in a way even though I know they are hard materials.
I do plan on running the X naked just like the all of my last ones going back to the 4.
My 3g was the only phone I had in a case.

Same here, hate using cases. And, with something as lovely to hold as the iPhone X doubly so. I was reading an article about the iPhone X (on the verge if I remember right) and the author mentioned he already saw some scratches on the side trim and speculated it was caused by putting on/taking off the case he was using.

A naked iPhone X is pure joy.

Feels phenomenal in terms of ergonomics and overall build quality. The overall build and design is the best thing Apple has done since the iPhone 4/4S.

Agreed. Loved my 4S. I'm thinking that iPhone X will make people appreciate the stainless steel  Watch more now.

And oh, my X is in a saddle brown leather case and will only be naked at home on the sofa.

I might have to get something with a bit more protection for fishing season this year. I usually just throw it in a ziplock bag and take it out when need be but I noticed with my 6 I got a lot of scratches on it when using it this way especially in my yak. I might have to get an otter box this year just for fishing. At least that way I can take it on the beach when surf fishing cause I really don’t like taking it out in the sand. And when I don’t take it something picture worthy always happens! No pics no proof!

I went with the cosmos blue leather case from Apple. I couldn't deal with the smudges of the naked phone and w/the clear case I had. Plus I'm seeing a lot of others with scratches already.

Why? What's so special about that one? Doesn't look any better or worse than any other.

I just said what I would do. Take it or leave it. I don't get into message board arguments.

I love the feel of the X, but I can't deal with smudges and fingerprints.

Dude! I'm always wiping the back of my Silver phone on my pants or shirt. Fingerprint magnet, no doubt.

This is as close as I dare get to running the phone naked for my daily use. I don’t drop phones often, but I usually ding up the edges when I do. This case has a metal curved exterior that mimics the phone, so It is actually decent.

Waiting for my better fitting glass screen protector to arrive this week, and then I should be okay.

I bought that one, and let me tell you, it is better. It feels amazing and has all the features you would want. Those cheap $5TPU cases are garbage. This one is quality, and I absolutely love it.

I pay for the bill with my Wells Fargo credit card so its covered.
I also feel like im not like most as ive not had a case in 7 years.
The 7+ was SLIPPERY as hell and I didn't have any issues with it. I dropped it twice on my carpet but never outside.
The x is very similar to the jet black with the glass you have that friction.
Still I think the x is the best feeling iPhone or any phone ive ever held. I wouldn't want this in case
I was going to say I love naked phones, and the only Apple phone that was ever slippery for me was, surprisingly, the jet black model. I love the feel and grip of the aluminum 7plus back, which is strange because many many people say it’s slippery!

Glad I’m not the only one who does that. I eat lunch alone a lot cause I’m on the road all day and I always sit down grab a napkin and put my phone on it.

I always set my phone on my wallet. Nice leather cushion.
