iPods are found under the Music section of Apple.com now.
Well, it's depressing to me since I use IpT as an Iph without the cell plan nor capabilities. I'd put music on my IpT5, but I've already filled most of its 32 GB storage. I actually still use an Ipod Classic (80 GB) for that

Well, there goes any hope of a new iPod Touch. They removed the "iPod" label on the top menu bar of Apple.com Selling A5 devices at this point is just sad. I would have purchased an iPod Touch with the 6 or 6 Plus design and an A7 or A8 chip. Oh well.

and there you go the ipod is dead, well almost, they are still selling it.

yes they are but pretty vague imo, it appears to be on its way out...1 more year of life with ios9 though...

This is a very good hint:

They work together beautifully.

Do you guys see an ipod touch there? no right....RIP Ipod Touch, dam i'm already started to save for an iphone 6s but the bloody thing is expensive...

Sorry but the ipod touch doesn't work together beautifully anymore...

Guys if you're that unsatisfied, find a competitors product or wait it out and see if there is a new one…

I still strongly believe that the iPod Touch name is finished.. instead there will be an iPad Nano.

Maybe they're waiting till they release a new one to feature it in advertising. Or perhaps as I said before it bill rebadged as an iPad Nano, thus not needing to show it.

Nahh its on its way out mate its pretty clear now... The only thing i found pretty annoying is that they are still selling it...the long and painful death...

Apparently Apple TV will have the same fate.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic… THE APPLE TV IS NOT DYING.

As I said, wait till September to see what they're doing. 1 percent of a companies profits are still VERY high.

I'm not being nothing, if you check some recent posts on these forums people are saying it.

Apple currently treats the Apple TV as a hobby. That may change.

Apple is increasingly targeting the iPod touch as a music player.

Its an absolute joke to suggest they're going to discontinue the Apple TV.. I would not take anyone who suggested that seriously.

Well then go and buy a different device. The Touch 5 will be gone in September and replaced either with a new iPod Touch, an iPad Nano or nothing. I'd hope there are more iPods after the 5 and there have certainly been rumours to that extent, but we'll have to wait and see.

Sure i will pretty much already saving for an iphone 6s...as i already stated, expensive thing.

Hard to say what this means, it doesn't look good at 1st, but the TV is there, so that might be a clue.

IMO, sadly, the iPT and iPad Mini are going to die. It's sad because they are (were) almost the same as other products, only cheaper with no phone.

It used to be the iPT was almost an iPhone with no phone.

Now, the iPT and Mini are too close to the iPhone 6+. Not exactly, but the size and functionality is important. If the iPT came in the same size as the 6+ and had EVERYTHING but the phone part, it would eat sales. WiFi phone calls and the importance of phone calls is changing things.

The sales of devices are like selling cars or homes, you make payments, and for most, that make it easy to say yes.

People will say yes to monthly payment MUCH faster that they'll say yes to an all out price.

Add up the monthly payment and ask someone to pay that... see what happens.

IMO, this is also the case for the Mini. The last "upgrade" was an insult. Sadly, the price and size made the mini a great choice for many.

Apple should use care going forward, they have a very strong following, but one article showed how everything they just announced was playing catch up with others.

MS had multi-tasking and many other examples. Their game plan of forcing customers in one direction could backfire in other counties that simply don't have the funds to play that game.

I think the iPod Shuffle might be the only one to survive, as it's very popular for the gym and exercise. They could easily continue selling it, just under the Apple Music brand.

I actually don't know anyone with a contract phone - in many parts of the world people just buy outright, cheaper, and you can go with whatever carrier you want, whether that's an Apple device or not. Here I get unlimited 4G data, 300 minutes and 3000 texts for £15 on pay as you go. And I don't even pay that every month.

I'm confident that there will be no new generation iPod Touch in September. With the introduction of Apple Music, Apple will position the Touch as little more than an Apple Music device. The current Touch 5 specs can run iOS 9 and handle Apple Music.

I doubt they'd keep the current Touch around. It will get upgraded or dropped, unless iOS 10 supports the A5 (Which deep down I'd love, as that would open up opportunities of staying on my iPad 2 into 2017 hahahha :p )

Why on earth would the Mini die? Its very popular!

My guess is that they see it as a lesser device than the Air, so they will only properly upgrade it every second year. The Original Mini was 1 generation behind, so I don't see the 3rd mini as anything out of the ordinary.

GOod luck! If you're lucky, as you'll have to wait till september for the new iPhone, there may be a new iPod Touch then as well….

you don't want Apple to discontinue anything, do you? :p

Apple Tv? Its an absolute joke to suggest they're going to discontinue it.
ipod touch?, expect until september.
ipad mini? its very popular.

All products have a life cicle. Apple wants you right now to expend your hard earn money on an apple watch, iphone 6 not an ipod touch, there won't be an ipod touch in September because of that, the product is on its way out, that's pretty clear.

They work together beautifully.

The ipod touch is NOT invited to that ^ party.

There may not be another iPod Touch but that would surprise me. Its popular for business, for kids etc. One major reason its not selling is the fact its not been updating it years. Unless you're Apple then you can't be certain either way.

The iMac, Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, Mac Mini, Mac Pro iPhone 6+ etc are also not in that image - does that mean they're also being discontinued?

The Apple TV and iPad Mini are far from being discontinued. The only device that discontinuation is a bit credible is the Touch. However we'll see later in the year.

LOL i just love to post here. :)

There's a thing that God gave us called: logic

Do you really think they are gonna post each single variation on that image? really???

Ipod touch popular for business? Don't make me laugh

Ipod touch is dead.

Ipod touch is dead.

And your logic was: iPod Touch is not in the image so its being discontinued, so I merely highlighted other devices that were in the image that by your logic were obviously going to get discontinued as well.

And yes iPod Touches are used in business. Again 1 percent of Apple's profits is still fairly significant. The fact that they're able to sell a 3 year old device is pretty impressive. There must be some sort of demand.

You don't know if its dead or not. Wait till Apple's next announcement.
