I just got back from the AT&T store at Rockefeller Center in NYC. They got a grand total of THREE iPads, all 32GB. I bought 2, and finally made the switch from my grandfathered unlimited plan to a 6GB Mobile Share. It'll only cost $20 more a month but I've got the 2 iPads on it now, we rarely go over 4GB combined on our phones, and the iPads rarely leave our home with WiFi.

I put them on the Next plan, and if you're already an AT&T customer they do not run a credit check (in case anyone is curious).

Ordered online at 3:03. Space Gray 32 GB WiFi for in store pickup. I'll head up there once my disaster of a day here at work eases up enough for me to sneak out. Maybe around lunch.

God I hate computers!!! That is Windows Server, but it pays the bills. ;)

Just ordered a 32GB Space Grey from T-Mobile. I paid for Saturday shipping in hopes of it getting here sooner, they showed 11/2 as the date of delivery but I'm not holding my breath.

Did anyone else order from T-Mobile and pay for Saturday Shipping?

Same boat. Ordered at 3:06 NY time, still processing. Not sure what the hold up is.

no idea how long it has been at this status either order it and it said we received your order and then i went to bed. woke up at 5 am for work and it says processing item. need to hurry up so my family member can go pick it up.

Ordered and confirmed!

Ordered online at 5:55am Eastern for same day pickup at the Georgetown store in DC. Email at 6:40am to let me know it was ready for pickup! Now I need to wait till work is over… 32 GB WiFi Silver.

I don't have any idea why anyone on the east coast would not just order at their normal wake up time given the massive supply availability announced.

Why would you order at 3:00 Am instead of at your leisure in the morning at your normal wake up time?

I ordered when I woke up at my usual time (6:30 AM) and got an email in an hour that my ipad air was ready for pickup. No fuss, no muss. No staying up late or getting up early.

Depends on where you live. The one I ordered at 3am is already showing as "ship to store" so if I waited, I doubt I would have gotten it today.

hey just got the ipad air and a smart cover. how many positions does the smart cover fold in? Is it just one but you can turn the ipad to have 2 different viewing angles? Thanks

On my way he with my 64gb ipad air but empty handed with my red smart case. :( the guy at the Apple store said it would ship to my house. Ug. Now I'm going to be paranoid until it gets here.

Apple never announced massive supply. They simply didn't announce any shortages and Tim Cook said "some people may not get one on release day".

You never go by rumor and you certainly don't wait until the last minute with Apple stuff. Better safe than sorry if you want the device on release day.

Maybe you don't care as much and are more nonchalant about it. Some of us are excited and wanted to secure one.

Plus some stores were sold out of the in store pickup orders pretty quickly. Which means you had to go stand in line or wait until Monday for it to be delivered. I will never stand in line for anything and the weekend is my time to actually get to use the thing before the work week starts.

I guess I was just confident knowing that there are 2 apples stores near my home and 1 near my office. In a large city. So I was pretty confident there would be no issue.

Ah! I was wondering this since when I ordered mine on Next this morning it asked for my social. So is that, then, just a formality?

I got to Best Buy at 7:35 am. There were 8 people in line. I sat in the car for 10 min and then got in line. Shortly after employees came out asking who wanted what and handed each person a paper for the corresponding model. I was the only one not looking for a wi-fi only model. I asked if they had any cellular models at all and they had to go back in and check.

I wanted a 64gb Verizon in silver. They had only one and I was able to grab it right at 8am. I was the first one out since they checked me out at the mobile phone area, whereas everyone else was told to line up at customer service and wait.

I drove off at 8:15 with my new ipad.

I bought mine from Best Buy at 8:00 AM.

Ordered 2

Ordered 2 from MacMall this morning at 6:30am Mountain time. Free next business day shipping!

16GB Silver will be to me Monday, 32GB Space Grey another week :(

However, I will say great service from them! I was ordering the 2 with smart covers. Covers in Black and Green. Told that the black was not in (and it was going with the silver), so I changed it to blue. Got a call from the salesperson 10 minutes later saying he was just informed they just received the black ones, and asking if it was ok to change the order from blue to black.

Walked into the local store and walked out with a 32gb silver iPad Air. Nexus 7 goes back in the drawer!

ordered the slate gray iPad Air 32GB wifi for in store pickup...can't decide if I should get the cellular model instead...

No online purchase, no standing in line. Went to my local Mall at 10:00 AM, and they had a Peach Mac store, walked in, only one other customer, and there they were. A bunch of iPad Air's both white, and Slate Gray. Simple as pie. :D

Well, just picked up my iPad Air. Ordered 64gb White Silver, but once I saw the Space Grey, I switched it up. Restoring it now...

It is so sexy.

Great job APPLE!!!!! :apple:
