Yesterday my shipment status was In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule. Does anyone know if that means it will arrive next day (i.e today?)

I'm literally waiting by the door for the UPS guy - due any minute. I can barely contain myself! I've had four coffees and cleared my desk in preparation!!!

It Arrived! - iMac 27" i7

My iMac finally arrived.
For anyone that was wondering - I am from the UK, East Anglia and ordered it on the 4th of may, I was told it would arrive on the 12th May. It came early!
This is my first Mac.
iMac i7 27" 3.4Ghz
1TB Drive
4GB RAM (I have 16GB of Crucial RAM here beside me ready to be installed though)
ATI Radeon 6970m 2GB
Track Pad + Magic Mouse + Wireless Keyboard + Wired Keyboard
(Just realised the mouse is horrible! I can't get anywhere fast with it, although I have been used to using a laptop track pad since 2008.. The track pad is a wonder!)
Few things I noticed. A few mm's of the yellow tint/bleeding around the edges of the bottom screen, but not far enough into the screen to show up on the grey areas of the yellow tint test posted in the forums here. Does this mean my screen is OK?
I will be graphic designing on this.
I have just now logged into mac rumors because I dragged those two blue folders into the trash by mistake.. one was Applications and the other, I don't know. I looked in the trash but it's not there. How do I get them back? Hahaha such a noob [SOLVED IT!]

Canadian here also, bough mine an hour after they were released, same delay. I'm pretty frustrated, I was really hoping to get it this week, not next week or the week after.
Ordered last week with the desire for a reasonably "future-proofed" Mac.
Chose the Trackpad based on Lion support expectations, and very positive experience with my MBP.
Will add 2*4 GBs RAM to bring it to 12 GB.
Later, I plan to replace the 2*2GB Apple RAM modules with 2*8GB modules when I don't have to sell my house to pay for them
The reasons for the wired keyboard?
First, I want the larger form keyboard and extra keys,
Second, it provides two easily-accessible USB ports (not hidden on the back)
Third, increases the USB port count by one
In the longer term, by the time I run out of internal storage capacity I expect there to be good choices for Thunderbolt-attached storage.
In the very long term, when I might relegate this iMac to being just a great monitor, I expect that the driving Mac will have Thunderbolt, so I have no concerns about the lack of DisplayPort support as a method of connecting the monitor.

As a data point, I ordered my new iMac on Tuesday morning as well (21.5" with the 2.8 GHz i7 processor). They promised 1-3 business days. They shipped it on Friday (the third business day) and it arrived yesterday.
It's so beautiful.

Hi, I wouldn't worry too much as I could only see exactly what you described. Your machine is probably still in Cork and will dispatch to their hub very soon. Once UPS or whoever pick up they will update your page with a tracking number.
Mine took 24 hours once it left Cork. Arrived today 2 days earlier than originally quoted.
What a beast!! My first imac and there really are not enough superlatives to describe this beautifully crafted work of art! I have even decided against the larger keyboard as it looked too messy with one cable
It really is so much more impressive on your desk than playing with it in store.I upgraded the RAM and am good to go with 12GB. You really have to push the RAM into the slots for it to click, something I wasn't keen on doing to my new machine!
I haven't experienced any yellowing or pixel death, so all good. A very happy customer.
One thing, when I unpacked the box I saw it said i5 on the side, a little bit worried but all good once I checked sys profiler.
Hope yours comes earlier too, thanks to all the people on these forums for the plethora of info.

In a way I hope it comes earlier too.. but I have an exam on Thursday morning, so Thursday afternoon would be fine lol! But we will see!

Jealous ! Mine was ordered on release day. Delivery due on the 12th. Still no tracking numbers yet. Hoping that goes live tomorrow.
Mine was ready for shipment on Saturday and didn't get picked up until Monday - still slated to be delivered on the 14th but that is a Saturday and I don't want to sit home all day for a delivery that may not come...so I put a HOLD @ FedEX location on the shipment through FedEX to a local FedEX/Kinko's store - if it arrives on Saturday, I have until 9 PM to pick it up that night or 9AM-9PM on Sun. If it doesn't arrive on Saturday, they will hold it for me when I may be @ work. Plus, they are open until 11 PM during the week so I don't have to rush to make it by 6:45 @ the local FedEX depot...
Still - seems long for delivery on a custom built machine...my Compaq laptop I bought years back was express shipped from the plant directly to me.

So that email that said mine was delayed and wouldn't come until May 19-24, well, just got an email that my iMac shipped and will come most likely on Friday the 13th, so either it was a fluke, or it shipping on the 5th day after purchase was enough to send an email saying it was delayed, and they just over estimated, IDK. Either way, I'm much happier right now.

I'm thinking because of the delay, they had to send an e-mail out to those that it concerned.
But, instead of taking 2-4 days to ship, it was ready to ship when they sent that e-mail. So, yeah. I'm pretty excited.
Fellow Canucks, I also got a shipping e-mail. Fedex just picked it up this afternoon from Rancho Cordova, CA. Supposed to arrive on Friday.

Today is my birthday and I decided to buy myself a gift... a new base 21.5" sandy bridge iMac.
I'm pretty darn excited for it. I haven't had a computer in a while.
My brother in law works for microsoft so he's gonna be a bit peeved about it...i look at it more like a perk! He will hook a brother up with windows 7 for bootcamp and MS office for Mac, though.
What else should i learn/do?
Is there a good tutorial on getting my music/photos from a PC to the mac? My only computer has been my office computer so they won't be on the same network or anything. I have an external hard drive though.
