Nooooooo My shipment has been delayed. I won't even get to use my iMac now as I will be out of the country for the next 2 months :(

I hope mine doesn't get delayed. I really have my fingers crossed that I receive it before the July 1st long weekend here in Canada. I want to spend next Friday playing around with my iMac.

I feel sorry for you guys. Hopefully you do get your iMac sooner than later. I can tell you that mine is so awesome that all I can say that it's bad to the bone.

I am located just 2hr from you in London. Mine was set to be here by the 27th. But not delayed until July 9. Should be interesting to see what happens with yours :) hopefully it doesn't get delayed too.

Hi to all I'm the same new to this site and new to my iMac ( also got ipad 1 and iphone4),I finally made the switch last month and bought myself a 21.5 I5 and I'm loving it.been a pc user since win 98 and I think I can say with confidence I will not go back.
1 quick question I believe with mine being a new purchase that I am entitled to a free upgrade to lion when it comes out, when I put this on my machine will I have to do a fresh install or can I just upgrade th os.

Just got off the phone with apple, they have expedited shipping for the iMac and even my iPad2 (which wasn't delayed). Still delayed but I can get it a couple days earlier now. At least I'll now be able to enjoy it for a few days before I leave

Just picked mine up from our local apple reseller later yesterday afternoon. Got a nice surprise that they doubled the ram for nothing in a June promo they where running. Totally happy with my new computer no dead pixels or nothing, only one thing worrying is how quite the machine is. But then again coming from PC land i've been used to the sound of fans and big coolers running in the back ground it's properly nothing.

Promo? Doubled the ram? I never heard Apple running a promo like that before. Very nice.

Picking up first one up tonight. Just struggling between the base 21.5 of jumping up the 21.5 2.7 with a larger hard drive.

No particular reason for this post except to thank everyone on this forum for their help with my new iMac purchase. Reading many of the posts on here were very helpful in making my first ever Mac purchase.
I bought the iMac at the Apple store last Friday. Got the 27 inch model and added the Applecare, trackpad and battery charger. Also made an impulse purchase and bought my fiancee an iPad 2 (we're now an "Apple household" I guess). Love the computer. Can't believe how easy everything is. I've been discovering new tricks every day which I continue to be impressed by. Got the $100 education gift card too which was a nice touch.

im in the same boat as u i purchased my 1st imac 21.5" and its amazing. i cant see myself going back to PC at all, as a matter of fact, i will never go back to a PC haha..... i have ipad, ipad 2, imac and iphone 4... like i said in my 1st post on here these have been the best electronic device decisions i have made to date. these are some fun toys, enjoy.

Not quite sure what the above post is supposed to do for the OP. He talks about how great his iMac is and you make a thinly veiled post about how he could've gotten a better deal?

FYI. AppleCare with education discount is $119, cheaper than your $125.

And I'd rather taken an instant $100 education discount and a $100 iTunes gift card than a $135 discount after a mail in rebate.

Congrats! My iMac arrives tomorrow and it's my first Mac ever and i'm pretty excited.

Grats, I'm excited too, my 27 inch 3.1 arrives in 7 days. It's my 3rd mac but since I have been stuck with a mac mini core duo 1.66 (which won't run Lion because it's 32-bit) for 5 years, I'm very excited :)

Macs are a fortune where I live, so I preferred to wait instead of getting a nice PC desktop (I could make a top system for half the price but the idea of not having OS X as the primary system irks me - also my mac mini runs win7 pretty well, I guess it's the 2gb RAM limitation that is making it kinda slow on OS X more than antything else so it is still a good machine, tho I hope I sell it)

woohooo picked up the 21.5 inch 2.7 gig imac with the 1tb HD and 6770M graphics card, as well as an Ipad2, student discount, free wifi printer...and one to one classes for a year! wooohoooo!!!

Brilliant!

Just went and got the 2011 i7 27" Stock, got 8GBs of RAM sitting at home waiting for 12GBs total, guy gave me a free Magic Trackpad. Couldn't believe it! All that and I got the £65 BTS and Applecare for £40.

I'll be sending my refurb 2010 back next in the couple of days for a refund!

My iMac shipped last night.

Went for 21.5" with 4gb Ram 1TB + 256gb SSD and i7 processor

Any idea where they ship from? I live in Dublin and although the apple EU HQ is based in Cork (about a three or four hour drive away) I don't think my iMac is coming from there.

It's expected 'on or before' July 4 but how accurate are those delivery dates? I'd be fairly surprised if it was later than Friday, July 1st if it shipped last night. Am I wrong?

I just received my Mac

27" i7 3.4Ghz SSD + 1TB 6970 w/ 1GB

I have to say this is the fastest computer i have ever used. Everything just opens instantly, so glad I chose the SSD. OS startup is so fast even after I've installed most of the software I use. This is my first Mac and I don't think I'm going to miss windows at all. Only difficulty is getting use to new shortcuts and the trackpad.

My Mac was ordered Thursday 16th June, shipped Monday 20th and arrived today 24th (ordering from the UK). I presume it came from China though can't be sure as the shipping doesn't provide much information until the last day). Didn't expect to get it so soon though. Original shipping date was 1st - 5th July, then when it shipped it was revised to 28th June.

It's here!

My first Mac ever!

My iMac has entered Canada. Now it just has to get from Calgary over to Toronto. :)
My ship date has changed from Tuesday to Monday, so things are looking good!
