Which specific SSD is Apple putting in the IMAC's?

Those getting SSD's or anyone else who can post a review on Apple's SSD's ...what brand and Speed SSD is Apple shipping? Are they shipping 6Gb/sec motherboards and SSD's or 3Gb/sec versions?

I just purchased my first Mac and I'm very excited! I got the baseline 2011 iMac refurbished. Here are the specs:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/FC309LL/A?mco=MjMwMTc4OTE

Refurbished iMac 21.5-inch 2.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
Originally released May 2011
21.5-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display
4GB memory
500GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics with 512MB memory

Built-in FaceTime HD camera

It should arrive July 1st to the 5th! I've only played a little bit with a Mac in the store and in 2nd grade with an Apple II. Apple has got me and it started with an iPod photo I bought in 04'. Ever since then they keep releasing phenomenal product after phenomenal product. I've never been so happy to give a company my money besides Netflix. Keep it up! :apple::cool: I've asked this before but I didn't get an answer. In the Lion up to date program I wonder if Mac refurbs are "qualifying" Macs?

Can't answer your question but it seems like a slow turn around time for a refurb. I got the same time frame for a BTO so I'm wondering how accurate these estimated dates are.

What does BTO mean? I googled it but it has many definitions.

My Mac is in the city! As of 8:45am my Mac made it's way to Toronto. It's still scheduled for delivery before noon, so I have my fingers crossed. Sadly, I won't be able to see it until after work. I sent it to my parents' house since my mom is home today.

Just ordered my first iMac after going for years now with a Windows desktop and Macbook Pro combo. Will be glad to cut the cord from Windows and go fully OSX.

I got the following:

27" iMac
2,7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2 x 2 GB
1 TB Serial ATA-enhet
AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB GDDR5
Apple Magic Mouse + Magic Trackpad
Apple Wireless Keyboard

Apple Battery Charger Kit
HP Wireless Photosmart All-in-one Printer
Back-to-school Promo Gift Card

It arrives on July 6th if all goes well.

Newegg has a shell shocker deal right now to get 16GB for $113 (56x2). Good deal for all us new owners. ;)

Ordered yesterday, payed via wire transfer. Just got my order confirmation, arriving 11 Jul, 2011 - 13 Jul, 2011. Wanted to wait for free Lion + back to school promo. SSD BTO does not take longer than normal anymore now, too. Now is really the sweet spot IMHO as you get Lion for free but still have a copy of SL.

Just hoping that I won't have that much of a yellow tint and no "humming" hard drive. :)

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
1TB Serial ATA Drive+256GB SSD
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1GB GDDR5
MAGIC TRACKPAD-Z
APPLE REMOTE
Apple Num Kybd+User's Guide-D
COUNTRY KIT,IMAC-IEA

I'm jealous, I'm still waiting on mine to ship. What kind of computer did you have before?

Not much
A 3 year old 17in Sony Vaio that i need to upgrade the ram on it if i want to continue to use it.
13inch HP netbook that is more for school. Is so small that I hate to use it at home.

I should of said my first Mac on my previous post.

Cool. Tell us what you think when you get your shiny new Mac! At least maybe I can admire yours while I'm waiting.

Well got it.. Is impressive. The only thing i don't like is that i cant change the font size. Other than that the machine is super nice.

Got my fully loaded i7 3.4ghz SSD+2TB iMac today, upgraded it to 12GB total RAM. It's my first Mac (well, in like 15 years) and it's even better than I expected. Using it in the Apple store for 10 mins. at a time isn't the same experience at all as having it in your own home, setting it up with your own software, and being able to enjoy it in its full glory!

It seems to be very silent. I'm installing a Windows XP VM while playing 1080p video and downloading a couple of things in the background, and it doesn't seem to be breaking a sweat.

The only annoying thing is that there's a small piece of lint or something in the bottom right of my screen! It spans about 5 pixels or so. I'm assuming I can just take it into the Apple store, have them pop off the glass and fix it, but still, sort of annoying to have to deal with that on a brand new machine...

Finally!

Just ordered my i7, 2.93 27" refurb from the Apple store. This is my first Apple computer purchase ever. :D (I do have an iPhone4, and love it) I already have a Magic Trackpad, and purchased the extra 8G of GSkill ram a couple of weeks ago when it was on sale.

This will replace a 9 year old Gateway 700 series desktop with 1G of Rambus memory and an 18" screen. Its been a good system, but time for a change.

Lots of new things to learn... wish me luck:cool:

I received my Mac on Monday and I LOVE it. No dead pixels, yellowing or loud HD problems, which is great. I was really worried that I'd be stuck with a dud (or have to return it and go through all that headache).

I, too, went for the refurb. It's a relatively small upgrade for me, but I was given an Apple gift card and had someone who wanted to buy my i5, so I thought, what the heck!

2.93GHz Quad Core I7
4GB memory
1TB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
ATI Radeon HD 5750 graphics with 1GB memory

As usual, Apple dazzled me with their speed. I ordered it Saturday at 7AM, and the originally stated delivery date was July 7-11. It actually shipped by noon, and arrived in Cobourg, Ontario Tuesday at 2PM. And that was the standard, free delivery! No yellowing of the screen or noisy hard drive. Another good experience! :D

Here is mine.. I notice a little yellow tint on it but i am just going to keep it. Ill probably call Apple see if i can get a rebate or something out of them lol

No dead pixels and is totally quiet. The G-Drive on the other hand is a little loud.
Now i just need my extra 4g of ram to arrive.

Here is pic with a wired keyboard i got separate from apple for $20. Ill be running FCP on this computer so i need a full key board.
