You just don't realize how big 27" is until it's sitting on your desk.

This is why I know a 21.5 inch imac is big enough for me. I have my windows pc with a crap monitor 15 inch? on the left side and this imac on the right side of my desk, my pc is a power horse, custom built by me. With a piece of crap monitor, if only MS office for mac was cheap or came with mac i'd do everything on here, except game full time.

I pulled the trigger on my first Mac!

Well, I did it! I ordered an iMac! I'm done waiting and need it for college that starts in 3 weeks. I just have to remind myself when a new one comes out in 3 months that I still have an incred able machine and that it's waaaay more than I need.

I got a 27", i7, 1tb, 2gb VRAM. I also ordered 16gb ram from OWC (2x8gb)

I took part in edu pricing and am getting a free $100 iTunes gift card with my purchase.

I just ordered my first iMac this morning. Waited as long as possible for the refresh but my PC is crashing more and more frequently and I have important work that I need get started on. I ordered a 21.5" (don't think I've the room for 27") with i7, and will upgrade the RAM myself. I'm so excite for this, I just hope it doesn't take too long to arrive!

I decided a few months ago that I would finally make the switch from a Windows PC to an iMac this year... And then I started waiting for the 2012 update. Nothing in May, so I waited for WWDC. Nothing around WWDC, so I waited for Mountain Lion.

Nothing around Mountain Lion, *and* my PC is dying...Gave in and ordered a 21.5" model today at lunchtime :)

I thought about waiting for another three months, because of the October rumours, but I don't think that my PC would last that long! :(

Still, I don't *need* USB3, Ivy Bridge, or a newer GPU.

I've been using an iMac at work since the end of last year. Can't wait to have one at home too :)

Currently "Processing". Estimated delivery is Monday/Tuesday (Express).

I ordered the 21.5" with i7 not realising that this counts as a BTO (yeah I know stupid). Which means my estimated delivery is 2nd-6th of august. Only problem is, I'm moving house on the 4th of august (thought it would have arrived before then when i ordered early yesterday morning!). I have spoken to apple and they've said once they its shipped and they know which carrier they will use I can change the delivery address thank goodness. I'm still praying it will come on the 2nd or 3rd though. My order changed to preparing for shipment today so hopefully there wont be any delay.

Is anyone in the UK able to tell me how long their order took from 'preparing for shipment' to being delivered? Was it closer to the start or end of the estimated time frame?

Hey, my 27" iMac was just shipped and I have now ordered a 21.5" with i7, 1tb for my sister. I'm getting 16gb ram (2x8gb) and giving her the 4gb that comes with my Mac to upgrade her to 8gb. She's soooo excited!

My order from yesterday lunchtime is still "Processing"... although Apple.com does still list the (express) delivery as 30th -31st July.

Agh, hurry up! I want to ditch my PC ASAP!

I finally placed an order. Tired of waiting since December and the 10 year old Compaq laptop I had hooked up to a monitor is on its last breath.

I wish some days I hadn't discovered this site and fell for the rumours of all these launches.

I went with a 3.1 GHZ 1TB i5 27 inch refurb iMac which along with a corporate discount saves me $300. It will suit my needs.

It arrives in a few days and it's my first home iMac - I can't wait to use it and introduce my wife to iMacs as well.

Finally did it...

Well, I just did everybody a favor by buying a refurb. Now the new one will be announced officially. That's how it usually happens.

I bought the 27"; 3.4gHz i7; 1TB for $1869. I will upgrade memory from 4 to 12GB. I usually build my PCs; however, I'm tired of doing that. I figure I will be using that extra time learning the OS. I just want to unbox, plug, and play.

Yes I got the refurb as well and did everyone a favour. You are all welcome! :p

Tired of waiting and couldn't wait until October for something not even guaranteed to arrive. My biggest regret is waiting 7 months when I should have bought it back in January and never looked back.

It arrives Thursday and no buyers remorse...I'll simply sign off from this site and ignore any spec updates (can't see a total refresh coming).

I couldn't wait any longer, so I bought second hand base imac 27 2011 model with 25 months warranty left. So glad I did that move, not only that I saved a lot of money (paid £950), but I have very snappy machine for my photo editing. 32GB upgrade kit is on the way, I paid only £133 for Corsair kit. Probably it's more that I need (for now), but if I can, why not to go for it.

Ordered on Sunday on Apple Canada store.

Surprised to see it is being shipped from Rancho Cordova in California??! Figured it would come from Toronto. Weird.

It's being delivered tomorrow! Muchos excited, just a shame i'm moving house and wont be able to play until the weekend!

My 27" iMac is coming today! I7, 2gb VRAM, I bought 16gb ram from owc and it arrived 3 days ago. Can't wait!
