Me, too...very excited!

My son noticed that the shipping date was January...but it didn't specify what year. Oy!

Happy New Year, all.

Good luck!

Be sure to post any issues you might encounter. I'm waiting for the 27" to go wild for a few weeks before purchasing my BTO. Just want to make sure there aren't any serious issues with the revision. It seems people are just starting to take delivery of their 27" inch models.

Got mine on the 13th. This is my first Mac.

Installed 32GB of Crucial before unspooling the power cord from the packaging.

The thing is quiet!

How quiet is it?

It's so quiet, you could hear a church mouse piss on a wad of cotton.

Screen, fit, finish, performance . . . Perfect! :)

I got my new 27 inch BTO iMac a while ago however i just spotted a dead pixel right above the dock. I called apple and without any questions they are gonne send me a new iMac. They guy said that because its a BTO iMac it has to come from china again. But said he will push my order before the other ones. So i can expect to have the new one here far within two weeks :) When i have the new one they will send a company to pickup my current one. Im very happy with this process :D

Do they allow you to keep the old one for more than two weeks from purchase date, until the new one arrives? Or do you have to send that one back ASAP?

I placed my order for my first iMac ever on 12/24 with the following configuration:

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
1TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
APPLE MAGIC MOUSE
Apple WL Kybd (English)+UG
COUNTRY KIT

I am hoping (yes, it is mere hope and I'm sure not a reality) that my card is charged before 1/17 to take advantage of the special holiday financing but trying to accept the fact it will not happen and I need to find another way to pay for it. :(

Otherwise I must say I'm very excited. I've always been a PC person for desktops, only using Macs as laptops the last 6-7 years. As much as I enjoy the PC world I don't find that the things I do on the computer these days require me to upgrade all the time and I can deal with an all-in-one. Plus I just adore the 27" screen. My girlfriend has the 2011 model and I always try to use it but I'm just a geek that needs his own and can't share!

So I join the rest of you, waiting anxiously and impatiently...

This will be my first ever iMac. With the following configuration:
3.2GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
1TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB GDDR5
Magic Trackpad
Apple Wireless Keyboard (Danish) & User's Guide (Danish)
Accessory Kit

Cant wait to get it, hopefully within a month or two :)

I would call apple and ask tell them your situation and see if they can go ahead and charge your card.

Another i have my new BTO 27"

i5, 1TB fusion, 32GB Ram ( non apple ) and 680MX

I sold my i3 2010 21" for the upgrade

So far its fast fast fast.

Its taking some time to adjust to the screen size, seems easier than using the last years 27" but just can't get over the size of this thing

Loving it mind.

Speakers are no worse and might even be better than my old 21.5"

Fan noise and HDD nothing !!!!! NOTHING!!!!!

Hey, could people post date ordered when they post that the got their 27". I know I shouldn't expect ours ordered last night to show up until like March but it will make the waiting a little easier if we can tell the progression on orders.

For any of you that are curious... I ended up calling Apple and explained my concern about the financing offer ending 1/17. Apple said they have always worked with barlcaycard for product launches and extended the financing terms if needed. Just to do my due diligence, I also called Barclaycard directly and asked. They said normally if the product is not shipped by the 17th that the terms may not apply, but if you call back and explain the situation they will grant the terms.

So either way (although I favor what Apple said :)) it sounds like within a phone call or two the financing can be applied regardless of when the item ships as long as you place your order in the time range of the financing offer. Just thought I'd share with those that are in a similar situation.

It still says processing

It should have said specific dates for 21 inch build. My base with fusion is scheduled to be delivered 17th - 22nd (express delivery) - ordered 1/4

Ordered it on DEC 26
Delivers Jan 12 - Jan 17 via Standard Shipping

Just thought that since they charged my card they might be shipping sooner.

I placed my order 12/31, customer service is saying "Janurary" ship date lol. I called around to a few retail stores and found a 27" i7 with my exact specs. Needless to say I canceled my order, and will be picking up to tomorrow!

What were those specs?

I'm doubting they have a fully specked with only 8GB of ram...

Ordered the following specs on January 4th and got an estimated delivery date of February 1st-7th...eep. :( Oh well, it'll make getting my new machine that much sweeter.

27" iMac
3.4GHz i7
16GB RAM
1TB Fusion Drive
GeForce 680MX Graphics
Magic Trackpad

Can't wait! It will be SO much faster than my mid-2009 15" MBP (will still be sticking around for laptop duties)...specs are outdated but it still performs great for a 3 year old machine. :apple::apple::apple:

I would change your order to only 8Gb of ram if u want to save some money because the Imac ram is easily upgradeable for $80 u can get 16GB of ram there is a hatch in the back for it here is a link on how to do it if u r interested

iMac arrived by surprise!

I had ordered my iMac through the local authorized Apple education store at a local college campus.

I was in the neighbor hood and thought I would stop by to check things out. Sure enough they had advised me that my iMac had been just delivered.

iMac - Late 2012
27 inches
3.4 Ghz i7 Intel
8GB Memory (Planning to install 32GB - Later)
1TB Hard Drive (Planning to install SSD - Later)
Geforce 680MX 2GB Graphics
Trackpad
Magic Mouse

I ordered it December 17th and got it today January 7th!

Now I need a nice desk for it!
