What pisses me off about people like you is that there's some of us (me included) who laid off the black so we could wait specifically for the white. Now some of us might not be able to get a white just because you decided to return yours.
You're selfish.

So it's about all about you? Isn't that selfish? LOL!

Anyone who returns a phone because of the COLOR....needs more impt things in his/her life. White one is ugly any way....

Anyone who got a black iPhone with every intention of returning it when the white is available is a dirtbag.

Well I was unsatisfied with the black... I want white. Not much else needs to be said about that.

So I can chalk you up as a no then, since you don't have a phone yet...

Anybody else? I've counted a total of 7 folks. Not as many as I expected to be honest ;)

LOL! Am I the only one that find it funny that the people preaching these morals are the ones calling others names? Guess the moral bug only goes so far and doesn't include name calling.

Very interesting indeed! :D

What about someone that buys a 3GS, returns shortly after, buys a black 4, returns shortly after as well, and then buys a white 4? I wonder if this person does that with clothes? There are people that do that. To me, I couldn't care less about what they do, but I find it to be an unusual behavior. Maybe they are controlled by material possessions.

That's what I did.

Needed phones to run a business.

The second point... I do not do that with close.... nor have I done that with much anything else actually.

I rarely buy and return things, I'm one of those people that it takes 2 day to pick out the toothpaste I want to buy as I have to research it haha... sort of OCD.

Well I bought a 3gs for $199... returned it and paid $20 restocking fee... so I dunno <shrugs>...

regardless, I'd still pay $60-$70...

Best part is, I don't have to though.

And returning a 3GS for a new model phone is the same as swapping one for COLOR, how, exactly?

It's a COLOR.

Jaysus.

I hope you don't return your toothpaste. ;)

returning mine later today or tomorrow.

Good luck ;)

Don't forget to ask for a new "larger SIM-card"... so you can use an older phone (if you have one) until the white comes out.

Also, DO NOT change your IMEI number online and you get to keep your unlimited data, if you have it, worry free.

Rather a very simple process they have made it.

Also, do note I have heard of people's eligibility not updating right away, taking up to 72 hours... I'd call att and verify yours is updated.

Mine was updated and ready for the new purchase before I even got home from the ATT store... so it only took about 15 min, but I was very adamant in store I wanted mine done immediately and not 3 days later.

yeah, ill be getting a full size sim card not sure why seeing as i have no phone to put it in! in the event they cancel my unl data ill just do the trick posted here. bestbuy is about to be maddd the manager told me he would not accept my return on launch day bc i told him what i planned on doing. its about to be a fight!

Ordered my black online and returned it next day due to the proximity sensor. Never really had an issue with reception, but the replacement unit had an even worse sensor.

Went to apple last Friday again to look at sensor & battery. Tests came back normal abd that my 5.5hr usage fell within their acceptable range and would not replacement since the sensor fix was coming soon.

Went back to apple tues to return & said they couldn't accept an online order in store, so they setup the return with cs.

Sent it back this morning and awaiting my upgrade reset so I can order the white ...which I planned on getting the whole time. Apple just made it easier to justify doing it :)

What's the turn -around time for AT&T to make your account eligible for an upgrade again? Taking mines back tomorrow because of multiple issues

Took mine less than 1 hour to get my eligibility back.

some people have reported up to 72 hours... I called att corporate as soon as I left the store and had them change my eligibility as they show the return as soon as the store associate inputs it into the computer.

Perfect!!!

Perfect!!!

Yep. ATT.com shows me eligible, I currently have a normal sim in a nokia flip phone so I can make calls and text, and am awaiting the white release.

I do get to keep my unlimited data as well... still being charged for it while I use the nokia... which I don't mind obviously as I want to keep it.

Although if you lose it, ATT can put it back on your phone... they do still have unlimited data, just don't offer it to new customers as an option.

OK, just got back from the Apple Store Fifth Avenue. Returned my black baby. Was politely asked why I was returning it. I said "the antenna issue and color dissatisfaction." The rep laughed and said "I bet it's the latter only." I laughed too, and we proceeded with the return.

Now waiting for my precious white baby.

Color dissatisfaction? Hehe.

By the way, everyone complaining about ethics, this is no different than when people were reserving phones at multiple stores last month, so stop acting like this is something new.

I wouldn't have bought an interim iPhone but I have better things to do than attack those who did.

I have a question, my friend will be getting the iphone 4 next month, so if he gets the white one can I switch my black one with his and just exchange sim cards? Btw he's okay with it.
