What is your freaking problem? Who is asking you to believe him, or even be on this thread anyways? You don't need to do a background check just because you don't believe him.

Thanks for backing me up...

Where I am currently isn't my permanent location though, and it wouldn't prove anything even if it were. There are hundreds of thousands of people - direct employees, store employees, reseller employees, consultants, tiny companies, manufacturers and all sorts working directly and indirectly for Apple all over the world. All you know for sure is that the company I work for sends emails in English, which doesn't exactly narrow it down much.

 Well that's the last time I ever do anything nice for anyone.

Don't think you'll find it fun at all considering I'm not currently located in the US. Sorry to disappoint.

I actually do believe you, im not sure why, i just do.

When i say believe, i dont really care, but im not gonna say you are lying :p

Hmm..

Any mod wanna hook us up with an IP? Tracing it could lead to some fun results :)

Jeez people. Lighten up. Chill out.

Some guy comes and gives us a heads up and you start interrogating him and threatening to trace his IP?

Seriously. We're talking about laptops here, not peadophiles.

I agree completly. The guy tries to help and you just question him?

Mr fish,

Any idea on the graphics hardware in the updated machines use? Thanks for the info!

i believe you.
i really don't know how a screenshot would help the people who doubt you, though. he could have just emailed himself something from another email account....
i really don't care what gets updated, hopefully asthetics, but that's probably not gonna happen. all i know is that i really want one and i won't buy one before it updates, just in case it is a big update.

Thanks man!

I believe Star-Fish. While he could be trying to stir things up, I think for him to actually say something so confidently makes him believable. I hope you're right Mr. Fish. :D

LAWL. some people are so ANALLLLL. my goodness "proof?" lol. dude take it easy. ever wonder how "rumors" start? ffs. "proof..."
I bet you if your RL friends/family members told you the same thing star-fish did, you probably wouldn't have asked "show me proof now." now would you? hmph.

**still waiting to spend $1600...

Hey, I think we're all a little peeved at how underwhelming the iPad turned out to be, and the fact that there were no other updates. We all just need to take a deep breath, and then turn out hate towards Apple, not each other.

Gonna wave the BS flag on this as well...

One thing you could ALWAYS count on for products about to be refreshed is a slipped 'shipping time' in the Apple Store.

None of the Macbook products showed anything but 24 hours in the last few days, including yesterday and this morning prior to the event.

My limited retail experience also says that non-Apple retailers (Best Buy, Amazon, etc) would've received EOL (end-of-life) notices for products about to be replaced.

For some reason I believe you ;)

Today's reveal was a disappointment. They could've at least updated an iPod or something...the tablet alone wasn't really too big of a deal for me.

I mean, when was the last time you saw someone using an eReader?
I've never seen one in use in my life.

And iPad??
Did Apple not see this video??

When?

You're quite off-topicing over there :)

what date(month) would you guess Apple would be introducing the processors? My guess would be early February.

what star_fish said about not wanting to take the limelight away is very possible. steve jobs called the ipad his "personal project" and was obviously very proud of it (even though the thing didn't really impress me. it looks more like an ipod touch for a blind person). throwing in other products into the same unveiling would be unwise for the attention of the ipad. if this is the case we should expect updates in the next few weeks.

however, that being said. i know a few people at best buy stores that have dealt with MBP updates before. apple has always contacted the store to give them a "end of life" date on the product, and so far. no date has been given as far as they know.

here's hoping... customer loyalty only goes so far jobs.

I want to believe

Usually don't post, but just wanted to give a shout out to star-fish. Appreciate the insider tip, keep your head down, and ignore the haters. No proof, no problem... its MacRumours, not MacFacts. :)

I was disappointed in the lack of i5 announcement myself and was wondering if it wasn't a case of exactly what you said -- keep the focus on the iPad.

Maybe the store will get updated soon and we'll all move on until the next refresh.

this thread is a bigger piece of bul***** than today's announcement. Either you're leaking information or you're not. What is this inbetween? If you were really worried about violating some nda you have with apple, you would have never posted on here.
