I wasn't going to upgrade, i'm really happy with my iPhone 6 Plus, but if all the rumours are true and the 6s Plus gets 4k video, 12mp camera, OLED display, force touch, 2GB Ram and the A9 chip then i might upgrade! it seem to me that this will be the biggest S upgrade that Apple have done so far. Obviously if all the rumours are true.
I've put off upgrading the last few generations, settling for getting the watch and a new iPad, so I'm very happy to finally replace my dented iPhone 5, whose battery barely gets me through the day!
If you get a Pre-order (pretty easy if you're there exactly at midnight f5ing), your phone will come the 18th. I'm in a similar situation as you where I can't wait for the mail to come. If that's the case, you need to log in to the delivery companies site and tell it to hold at your local mail office. Then, right when it opens, you go down there and request it. That's the earliest possible way to get it, but sadly we all have to wait for release day.
Apple stores don't require Pre-order. Just camp out the night before so you don't have to wait for such a long time.
I'm not sure about Pre-order for in store pickup. If I remember correctly that option was unavailable for Pre-orders.
We'll probably have to wait for guidance from T-Mobile after the Apple keynote is finished and the release date and general pre-order date is confirmed. So just be patient and we may know more on Sept. 9th or 10th.
Yeah, it's a lot of fun. My first was the iPhone 6 camp out and I liked it a lot, so here I am this year camping out again lol
Did I miss something where it was said that AT&T grandfathered contracts couldn't preorder the phones? I currently have that plan and previously in the past have always ordered my phone through the Apple store.
Apple is no longer allowed to sell on-contract phones for AT&T so you'll have to preorder directly from AT&T. They can only sell phones on Next.
6s Plus for me! (Currently using my 6 Plus). If this camera is going to do 4k I might jump to the 128GB model if money allows, but that reminds TBD as well as the color. I'm going to get whatever has black bezels. If the new rose gold has black, I will get that because I love rose gold, otherwise I will stick to Space Gray. My 6 Plus is white/silver and after 3 years of having white as my bezel color (5/5s/6 Plus) I'm tired of looking at the white space so I'm going back to black.
Wow! Quoted and bolded because you're literally me. I too have a 64GB 6 Plus (upgrading to the 6S Plus). This time around I'm going back to black bezels (abandoned black after iP4). I've had white bezels since 4S, 5S and 6 Plus.
Just thought it was cool someone out there have my same story just about.

Very cool! I always wanted the white 4 but I was an early Verizon buyer so the only option I had was black. Jumped to white with the 5, wanted the gold 5s, then I wanted the Space Gray 6 Plus but they sold out so quick and I was forced to white if I wanted it on launch day. Still a great phone, I just wish it had the black bezels.
I do think the 4K recording could be very big and could make people get the higher model. I'm getting 128GB as I don't want to worry about storage. Even if I don't add films or some shows on there just filling it up with more music, photos and games will not have me worried.

According to my phone, I have just passed the halfway point storage wise. So I have more then half my phone full (28.7GB used). I don't think 26GB is enough room for 4K filming if the 6s Plus is going to replace my current P&S for filming.
Still on the fence if I should get the 6S or 6S plus. I'm gonna probably go with white/silver this year. Had the gold 5S, space gray 6+ and might as well make it a perfect trifecta with the white/silver 6S.

Will be preordering a 128gb 6s Plus to replace my 5 with battery issues. Unsure on colour, may go for a black if the space black is changed to a darker colour. However, seeing my wifes 6, I quite like the gold. It's nicely subtle. Not so keen on rose gold as its a bit too pink for my liking. My thoughts are way back in the day I had my 3G and 3Gs in white as I prefered the white back. I'm kinda thinking as I had the 4 and 5 in black and that its time for a change. Will probably choose on the day of purchase

Possibly but there is no guarantee you will be able to preorder the model and storage capacity you want.
Sure. Though around that time you shouldn't expect to receive your phone on the launch day or week following.
Wonder if what GB model you want will decide what sells out quicker? i'm hoping demand for the 128GB won't be quite as big so i won't need to worry at mid night here in the UK and can get one easily.
