Exceptionally high. Those who are ready and waiting by and large will get an order for the device they want. Be quick with your purchase. The Apple Store app usually comes online before the site store does, so that's probably your best bet. It's how I'll be doing it anyway.
Last year the app went online like an hour and a half before the actual website. It was a disaster. Unfortunately the T-Mobile unlocked one was only available on the site so I had to wait. Hopefully it's on the app this year since it always seems to go up first.

If its not a big upgrade then it will be the first iPhone I pass on. Days of shelling 6/700 quid are gone on phones. Rather get the Edge Plus for that kind of money. My 6 Plus already does everything at a high standard. I'll wait and see before making any decisions.

How do you do that on iMac. I am on App Store app, but I just see games and other apps.

They are refering to the Apple Store app available on iOS. On a desktop you'll have to go via the website.

Do you not have an existing iOS device avilable?

Ok, guess I will just see nearer the time where it's going to be easier to get one from. I have a £30 Apple Store gift card, so will try and get it from Apple.

Another one (not related to pre orders), if the new iPhone 6s is 0.2mm thicker, the chances are iPhone 6 cases will still fit won't they?

It all depends on the case and how tight fitting it is. Some cases may work where as others may not. There is no way of knowing until you actually try. I am in the same situation having just bought a new clear polycarbonate case for about £18 about a month ago. If it comes to it I will just have to buy a new case that fits the phone.

I am going to try and upgrade my eligible 5S ATT grandfathered unlimited data over to a subsidized 2 year contract iPhone 6s. So far, all my upgrades were conducted in person and have always managed to smoothly transition the grandfathered data plan. As I understand, I will not be able to pre order from Apple but will instead need to do this online with att. However, I have been researching the process and encountered the thread suggesting there are many problems when trying to order online and keep the data plan:

Any suggestion as to how to proceed during my first pre-order upgrade attempt? Is there an alternative to the buggy ATT online express checkout that seems to lack selection options that retain current plans? Any suggestions are welcome

I have an iPad air 2

If you don't already have the Apple Store app I would recommend you download it as it can be pretty useful especially when pre-ordering something as popular as the iPhone as soon as preorders go up. The items usually show up on the app before the the web site comes back up and they're available on their.

Yes, also when the website crashed before I was still able to pre order in the app.

When you buy just use the app think it will be a quicker and smoother process

I always have the web site on on my Mac as well as the app running on both my iPhone and iPad and use which ever one comes up first. It's usually the app on either the iPhone or iPad.

Just make sure your card is current, which is what I failed to do with the Apple Watch launch.

Still managed to get first batch, but wasted time. Really wish my iPad Air had Apple Pay
Luckily I'm all sorted as I used apple pay to buy my Macbook pro a few weeks ago

Is it easy to cancel a pre order?

My plan is to try and pre order one for release day, but I'm heading to London for the weekend on the 18th so if I manage to order one for launch day, I won't be able to collect it till the Monday.

If I manage to order one for delivery on launch day, I will just collect it on the Monday.

If I don't manage to order one for release day, I will try and get one when I'm in London, I realise this will be difficult.

If I do manage to get one in London, could I easily cancel my pre order?

Hope that makes sense.

Yes as long as you do it before it goes to preparing for shipping. If you cancel in the first couple of days after preorder you should be OK.

Does anyone have any experience ordering on pre-order day with an international credit card? Does the online store allow this? I thought maybe, in case it didn't work out, I'd get a gift card with the amount of the iPhone I'd like and use that to pre-order. Does anyone know if I would have a problem with either of these scenarios?
I'd still be shipping the iPhone to a US address.

I'm on the east coast, so I will not be staying up to order a phone. When I get up around 7 am, will
I still be able to order a phone?

It's hard to predict, it depends on what's in high demand, and how much supply is available. Last year, the plus models were in much shorter supply than the regular 6, so those sold out almost immediately. T-Mobile models were also in high demand because they were the only unlocked ones you could preorder. When the 5S was released, the gold color was brand new and those were harder to get than the other colors.

And you can always order a phone, it's just a question whether you get your order in early enough to receive the phone on launch day.

I have to see what happens with my iPhone 6 this Tuesday; but if I do order, I'll be leaving AT&T for either Verizon or T-Mobile though the latter's coverage and customer service are not good. Definitely getting the 6s+ if I do...

I'm in the same boat. We're trying to upgrade our 5s phones under the grandfathered unlimited data plan, and I've gotten different information from every person I've spoken to (in store, online, and over the phone).
I've been given an 800 number to call for pre-orders (phone call), told that I can only order online (and not logged into my account since it doesn't show an option to renew a 2 year plan yet), told I can order from a local store, and told I can't pre-order a phone at all, so I'm not sure who to believe with that company?
