The iPhone Nano Mock-up/Concept thread

I would disagree with that because I transfer music with my friends all the time thru phones. I hope the iPhone Nano (should there be such product) would use Bluetooth 2.1 and use some of the features including transfer of music, files, etc.

Actually, the photo app is just an file viewer for IMAGES. So a Finder can be easily done... Just have a finder, then have seperate categories such as photos, downloads, music, games, etc.

Anyway, it's going to take a while before I can release my concept since I'm not at home and on vacation... sigh.
 
Touchscreen or Clickwheel

I dont think that this alleged iPhone nano would use a click wheel

1. A clickwheel will not be suitable for browsing through photos, for zooming in and stuff. This only works on an iPod or music player.
2. It makes it too similar top the iPod line and I knoew Apple is trying to differentiate iPhone from iPod.
3. It'll look SO stripped down compared to the real iPhone.

The difference between the old iPhone and the iPhone nano would be the physical size, the storage and the apps you can run on it. On the other hand itll inclue the new Sharing feature. It'll also have a speed dial app. Ill make a new mock up with the interface.
 
here is what an iPhone nano WITH touch screen would be..
INTERNAL storage 2-3 GB Flash + Memory Card Slot
UNLOCKED
two new apps: Finder and Bluetooth Sharing
innovative ways of using Core Animation (ex. during file transfer there is a blue glow from the phone that is sending the file)
a much more visual approach (see the bluetooth share image for example)

I agree with you that the iphone nano could not have a clickwheel, but in your mockup the screen of the iphone nano is almost as big as the iphone...

actually the iPhone nano mockup i made's screen is only 2/3rds of the original iPhone. If the original iPhone has a 3.5" display, this nano would have a 2.5" diplay. Tust me, I used the Photoshop CS3 Grid function...:)
 
^More slim design, smaller screen, and that would be lovely. I love the green colour. Still to iMac imo tho but I like this one =)

Very,Very,Very,Very nice design!!!!, only i would make the screen a little bit smaller and less wide, but very lovely!!

OMG.....tha is so beautiful, very Apple like indeed...however I think that the iPhone nano is a bit too wide... Apple should not adopt the square like design for the iPhone since they want to differentiate the iPhone nano and the possibly new Square iPod nano...maybe put in the original iPhone next to it for size comparison....

P.S: beautiful UI, can you help me make a good iPhone nano UI?

The menu wont need 'Photos' if there is 'Pictures' in Finder. Same goes for the iPod.
 
Could you people stop posting images of you own concept of the iphone nano. I think I speak for alot of people when I say I'm tired of looking at the iphone page and all you see on the right side of the main page is this whole thread's lack of imagination, let alone graphic design skills.

I'm just tired of seeing the same crappy pic of something that doesn't exist and won't ever. How soon we forget where this story originated, from a bunch of wall street anylists, not the HK forum. So do us all a favor, save yourself sometime, and stop making pointless pics. For all this energy you guys wasted you could've collaboated on a native app or something usefull.

Seriously, post a pic of your cat or something, ive seen the same crap from you guys for weeks.

The pic thing on the side of the page was a nice idea, untill this thread ruined it.
 
If you don't like looking at people's mockups then don't read the thread. I personally love seeing people's ideas of what the iPhone nano will look like if it ever became reality. I for one believe that Apple will release one eventually to appeal to more people as they did with the iPod.

I really like FetalSage's mock-up although agree with most others in that it's too wide. Although I do have one question - where is the ear speaker? :p

I agree i don't like the religion thread but i have respect for the people who post there so if they want to talk about religion, why can't they.
 
That looks like the iPhone we will see in 2015 or something. But the apple logo would be on the back, we need a home button.

I have no problem with you guys discussing it. My issue is that I can't goto the macrumors/iphone page without seeing this thread flood the whole side of it with fake stuff that won't be out for 2-4 years and won't look like the mockups anyway.

You can talk about JesusPhone 2.0 all you want, but when you post pics it goes to the main page, and I DON'T like religion being pushed in my face everyday, especially fake mockup religion.

To avoid seeing your fakes I have to avoid the iphone section completely, and I don't want to do that, because I own one and would like to see relevant news, and pics relating to that relevant news. If you want to argue that iPhone nano is a rumor and it has it's place you're waaay out of touch with reality, it should be an iphone page2 rumor if anything.

There was no rule against using steroids in baseball either, did that make it right? No hard feelings, It's just my opinion, you can do whatever you want. :)
