If you guys are looking for a relatively low-priced case/sleeve, I have a decent recommendation! http://stores.ebay.com/dobi-x

I got mine from there. Mine is for the 13" MBA. You can see pictures of it on the store, I've also added my photos of my own case.

I'm very satisfied with it, it is super thin and the edges are pretty thick and offer good protection.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!

Sure. Just one thing to note, I got the Macbook Air 13" sleeve with buttons and an Apple logo. I might just be nitpicking here but I wasn't too satisfied with the Apple logo so I pasted the sticker over it.

I have heard though that snap on cases have a potential to scratch the MBA. Has anyone had this happen?

+1
Any issue so far?

The iGlaze fit is so snug, I can't imagine anything getting underneath it. I've always been a "skins" guy for my Mac portables and iOS devices but with this new Air I wanted something a little more solid protecting it. The Moshi iGlaze is the first snap-on I've ever even considered. So far, color me impressed.
I've had very good experiences with Moshi products over the years and consider them a quality company.

I just received my iglaze and noticed that the upper left hand corner (of bottom part of case) barely touches the screen when opening.

I have the Thule Gauntlet for my 13." Used to have a bike rack for my car from them so I knew the quality would be great. Awesome case. Love its style and how shockproof it looks (and is). Great protection in a very statement-making design. Got it for 30 bucks on Amazon-- was eyeing it for a week until I stumbled on it one night when it was on sale. Snatched it up without hesitating. :)

I have the booqbag vyper case for my 11" air. Been using it for the past couple years, and it has held up really well. Its thicker than your standard case, but its a hard shell and protects the laptop well in bigger bags. Sometimes I don't even put it in a bag and just carry the case with some papers inside.

The case isn't actually thick enough to hold pens and stuff like the pictures suggest, (or maybe you can, but I wouldn't recommend it) but I can easily fit an iPad and the MBA.

Are there any hard cases that don't cover the new second microphone?

Also, I briefly had an InCase Hammered Hardshell that did NOT fit the June 2013 13", so I returned the case. It was slightly different for the top case and did not fit, leading me to believe the top case of the 2013 13" has indeed changed.

I'm selling a brand new clear Hardcase for the new 2013 13" Air ... If you're still looking and are interested, PM me :)

I have it listed in the MarketPlace too..

just got one of those myself and i agree with everything you wrote. it's a bit of a pain getting the computer out of it, but at least it won't fall out. i have just put it in and zipped it closed a few times but it's not really a huge issue. i only use it traveling to and from work so i generally only have to put it in and take it out twice a day (giggity)

I also bought the Everki Atlas backpack. Expensive, but i love it.

I'm looking for a sleeve similar to that included with Asus' Zenbook. Any recommendations?

Would the smaller pocket fit the iPad mini? it looks like it would.

Edit: I see from one of the ebay pics it fits a full size iPad. This sleeve is neat! :)

Thanks for the recommendation! I really love the case.

Is the fit very snug? No incidents of it being loose?

After reading the entire thread, I recently bought the Moshi iGlaze and the Booq Viper Hardcase
I bought the iGlaze for scratch/scuff protection while the laptop is in daily use, and the Viper as a case while the Air is in a laptop or bag, as I didn't feel the iGlaze would be sufficient alone for that.

Yes, the Air fits inside the Viper with the iGlaze on, if you were wondering.

A bit disappointed in the Viper though; I expected a true hard-case, or at least more rigid sides. The sides are more flexible than I would like and there is little to no padding around the zipper in case of a fall while the Air is on its size (such as being placed in a bag).

For me, I may check out the Gauntlet 2.0 whenever it is released from Thule for the Air for my needs.

Hi everyone! Just about to press confirm to buy a Moshi iGlaze for my MacBook Air. However, does anyone know if it will still fit in the ACME MADE Skinny Sleeve? As the name implies, it's already a very snug fit!

well look at that - this was the exact question i had. i have the same hardcase and i'm waiting for my iglaze to arrive. thanks for the update :)

i hear you on the viper, but i think it does a reasonable job as is. it's definitely not a hardcase in the way a company like Pelican would define it, but it's better than a neoprene sleeve. i think of it as the midway between the two.

i have an Everki backpack that works great with it and when i cycle i have an Arkel briefcase that has a laptop pouch. no problems so far

Mine is snug. Over time it is bound to 'loosen' slightly I'm sure, but because mine has the buttons, I don't have to worry about my mac slipping out. But for right now with close to 2 months of usage, it still fits snugly.

Also, it looks better once you put the mac in it. When I first opened the package I was actually quite disappointed, but after I put the mac in and saw how well it fit, I immediately loved it.:D

Any thoughts on the Speck Satin, which now says on the packaging explicitly: "Fits the June 2013 MacBook Air 13""?
