ok, I don't really post often here either but my AIM is "mac.powerpc". As said, i don't really post often so maybe i shouldn't be a part of this, i don't have a lot of time for things like this anyway
Just wondering, could we use iChat? I use that for all of my AIM messaging and I encourage friends/relatives to use AIM.

iChat just allows you to sign into AIM, therefore it makes no difference what you use on any platform. Only problem with iChat is the fact that you can't read back on the messages to see if you missed anything, unlike the official app
OK, thanks. Maybe I'll use both. Anyway, I read the new info, and, yes, I still request to join! Thanks for getting this set up again, I think it's a great idea!

OK, I need to grab the AIM client for PPC. I got the invite in iChat, though. Thanks! I think it's a great idea to get this up and running.

All you guys need to do is make an AIM account, then send me the username and I'll add you to that chat. You could either reply here with the username or PM it to me.
Also, read the first post information.
The AIM app no longer works for me. using the 10.5 PPC v2.2.429 download via oldapps, I get this:
It lets me log in via my old email but this pops up disabling the app. Another weird thing is that my login which works for AIM and their website, does not work under ichat. What a PITA lol. Oh well, it was a nice trip down memory lane

I haven't used the PowerPC app since the first attempt at the chat, so I haven't tried it recently. I know for others, iChat still works. Adium is also another option for using AIM on PowerPC. I currently use the AIM app on my Windows 10 desktop, iPhone, and iPad as I haven't had the chance to get it setup again on my PPCs.
