Yeah, like the times you were acting up way worse than anyone else. I'm not naming names, but the majority agreed that you could act up as well. So don't pretend like you're a saint either. Diva.
Most of the time I was provoked, like I am now, so if you really really really want to continue, remember that you started it. I'd chat with an admin, show him screenshots, and most of the time I'd get a reply like 'oh..' So, put your big boy britches on, and stop acting like a 12 year old, and PM me.

Alright, so I guess we're moving to Slack. And yes, Henry was correct, all I said was that we could VOTE on moving to Slack, unlike Keaton who said "we're moving to Slack and that's final". Regardless, I'll be setting up the Slack and reinviting everyone
LOL The only reason I kept relentlessly going after it was because someone told me they we're having trouble using AIM on PowerPC (which defeats the purpose) in the chat and had to connect with their phone, and since setting up a Slack chat is free, it would be a trial period, (we've already regained most of the members)

Ok, that's enough out of you two... idk what the heck happened to you Keaton, but lately you've just be edgy about everything. You started yelling at Henry for no reason, you took a cheap shot at a few members who once were friends with you, and now you're whining on like a toddler. Daniel, just drop it as it isn't worth it. While certain members may go over the top at times, this doesn't mean we should blow up in their faces and stuff. I don't want to divide us because as one we were doing some amazing stuff. Regardless of our differences, we can usually just get by them, and if there is a serious problem, instead of calling them out in public, a private conversation can usually do wonders in terms of getting each other to see (close to) eye to eye. Now both of you stop fighting and ruining a good thing I put together for all of us.

I'm sorry for blowing up like this. I've just been a little too emotional with things lately due to personal stuff, which some of you do know about. I'll admit I went too far and for that I apologise. I think I just need to take a break from now on.

Well, its senior year of high school, stuff is a bit stressful. I've lost some good friends that moved to college, and lost some due to lack of time. With Henry, I don't care for ignorance when someone is giving advice on the forums, especially when their view is so skewed, and I tried explaining that. I wouldn't consider it yelling, more than me being straightforward with someone. I just don't want someone getting the wrong idea about a suggestion or spreading misinformation on this forum. We're a rare bunch keeping these Macs going. Nothing I take out of the forums or the previous chat 'gets' to me, because at the end of the day, its an online forum/chat with knowledgeable, mostly sane people. I don't like getting pissy with people in the chat, I really don't, I don't like mentioning WHY I get pissy on the chat. The chat is very personal, and I have a disease which causes mood-swings, so sometimes it just comes out on the chat. I've PMed a couple of folks about it, just letting them know, but no one really took that into account, while everyone is willing to get over a certain member's multitude of issues for free tech support.

Bud, that okay, and I get where you are coming from. If you need to vent more to just get it out, you can PM me. I don't think you were seriously out of line in the slightest, but I hope your personal issues resolve themselves.

Hah, OK fine. I just wanted to join in some of the reindeer games is all :) Seriously though, sound advice Mr.Cube.

Just a reminder this still exists for the newcomers who haven't seen this thread. Sadly, Slack appears to have cut off browser support below 10.9, but you can still access via IRC apps!

Can't you change your user agent?
@eyoungren tried this and it failed, miserably. Script errors were constant and it kept pegging the CPU at 100%... so sadly, user agent swapping will not fix it
Right.

I think Slack is expecting something in the background based on a minimum version of the OS. Obviously Leopard (and Snow Leopard) don't have this.

PS. I stopped using Adium a few months ago because, for me at least, the conversation window was not updating and any time I went to post it kicked me offline. Had I still been able to use Adium I probably would have stayed with it.

Well, I'm in just fine. :p :D
