32GB here too and in Scotland :( Just hope they do stick to 21st now. Although the money hasn't actually left my bank account the money is unavailable for me to use so it's like they have informed the bank of the amount they will be taking. Bit of a cheek really when it is now going to be at least 12 days until delivery.

Yeah the money has been earmarked on my account also....

no email yet though.... fingers crossed.

No email here yet. 32GB 4G, black. I'm in the east of the country.

Mine still says processing and delivers 16th. I ordered late in the night when the store came back up but can't remember when. However I still haven't had a confirmation email of any sort (money reserved on my card though). Anyone else not had one either ? Not too worried yet in view of the Apple advice about confirmation emails but.... well... with dates slipping I wonder if I should be concerned about the lack of email confirmation. Hopefully not.

Yus indeed. Nowt there. Usually it takes a while to get to me (bought many an Apple gadget over the years) but not quite this long. But in view of the Apple guidelines about confirmation emails I'm not going to freak out yet.

Or I might. You never know. ;)

maybe apple should do it like the airlines do it

DBC - denied boarding compensation
Where you have paid for the goods (well earmarked off funds in your acocunt), company cannot provided you with this service and is delayed, so you get compensated

16gb Black, WIFI - Manchester.
Ordered at 2am and no email. Does anyone else's status still say 'Processing'?

I ordered one as soon as I could, about half 12. Got the conformation email about 1:30 am with delivery date of the 16th. Just checked the website and the iPad picture has been replaced with a picture of a box :D. Hope they don't delay it now.

Btw I got the white 32gb 4G model.

Mine has changed to a box and then changed back to an iPad again.

This has happened many times.

Now my smart cover has changed to a box.

just had a search on Twitter for "ipad delayed"

Everyone that has said that theirs is delayed seems to be from Scotland, yet to see an England one on there, although we have had one person on here from Lands End.

Seems like a geographical issue for people who are very far away from where they are being delivered from.

Yep Scotland and N. Ireland- a couple of us on here from Belfast and I have a friend who also got the delay email. Re- read my email:

Despite our best efforts and those of our shipping partners to get your order to you on time...

Definitely a delivery issue and not a stock one.

Hmm there were reports of shipping capacity being sparse. I recall it was US-based shipping being at a premium but wouldn't be surprised if it extended globally. Or UK-based couriers are struggling with what will be a spike in capacity requirements and backlogging the more remote deliveries in favour of areas with higher order density at first.

I ordered a new iPad on Thursday morning, not too early. Thought it was too good to be true that dispatch was down for 16th march. Had a confirmation email today listing dispatch as march 30th. Just looked on the uk apple site and it is giving delivery estimates of 2-3 weeks for new iPad 3 orders.

Suppose it's not too bad at the moment, hopefully it won't keep getting delayed. Am I right in thinking that this isn't as bad as when they launched the other iPads and the iphone4?

Evenin' All
Ordered an engraved white 32GB Wi-Fi model at ~9am on the 8th. Confirmation e-mail quotes 'Delivers on March 16'.
No delay notification - yet!
Manchester area.
Keep you posted.

I ordered on 08/03/12 at 12.08am, a white 64gb 4G model. I received an email today saying
"Despite our best efforts and those of our shipping partners to get your order to you on time, we want to inform you that it will not arrive on its originally scheduled delivery date.
Your new delivery date is 20/03/2012."
I phoned to complain and they knew nothing about it. They then sent me another email saying the delay was correct but they would try to get it to me on the 16/03
I'm in Belfast

Phoned up Apple today as had been charged twice, and needed education discount, they managed to credit my card for £15 for the edu discount (out of good will, as wasn't applied before) as well as a further £20 credit out of good will due to being messed around when ordering, so all in all a iPad for £365 (Bargain?!) .... Still showing as delivery for the 16th as well.

32gb wifi black

I ordered a 16gb white wifi on Thursday morning at 6:00am. Got the delay email today. I'm also in Scotland just south of Glasgow.

I remembered when waiting on my iPhone I got a similar delay email but it was more specific in saying that due to my delivery address it was delayed.

It came on time. Hopefully the same thing happens here. Maybe it's an automatic thing.

Keeping fingers crossed :)

Edit - it still says 16th in apple account and apple store app.
