I suspect that someone is scanning barcodes. Just depends where yours is in the pile.
Yep, updated to " Preparing for shipping" here too.
London delivery also so it's looking like a local stock level issue to me - London is going to have the highest stock level of anywhere in the UK so it "fits".

My Central Scotland bound 32GB Wifi pus 4G Black has also gone to Preparing for Shipment.
I bet you're glad you went for that 4G.
Im in London and my 32 gig black wifi model (no extras/accessories) is now showing as "Processing, delivers March 16th".
ordered 32GB black wifi-only at 7.00am on 8/3 and order status has just gone to "Preparing for Shipping". Delivers on 16th March. no delay email yet. not taking anything for granted though! I'm in norwich.

32GB White WiFi, Still processing, Broxbourne (just north of north london, enfield) and I ordered it at 11:45pm 7th!
I was one of the lucky ones and managed to sneak in an order through the iOS Apple Store app pretty early. Received my confirmation email at 20:22 on the 7th for a 64GB+4G Black, status still says "Processing items".
