The battery is massive. It's in the laptop ballpark. Most 13-14 inch laptops are in the 40 range. My rather powerful 17 inch Dell laptop has a 75 Watt AC.

I bet the iPad 4 will be shipped with a much larger power brick.

Dont be surprised if Apple release a "Quick Charge" accessory for £50 a pop.

You heard it here first ;)

Got mine 40 mins ago. Its currently syncing to the iMac to restore all my apps and music. The screen is absolutely amazing.... its crystal clear. Hope you all enjoy!

Restoring iPad from backup...

Time remaining: 5 minutes

Once you've got your delivery, prepare for more status checking and waiting!

I don't like this waiting! I've been told that they usually get to the office around 1, and I usually leave at 12:30 on a friday!

But today is there just vans purely of iPads driving round as a break from the norm?

Anyone that also has the ipad 2, does the Ipad 2 case fit? I have a dodocase and fingers crossed it will also fit.

Does anybody of those who already got their iPads know if TNT tracking updates quickly after delivery or is it delayed?

It would be a shame having the iPad delivered just a few floors downstairs and not knowing it.

Just arrived from TNT in Swindon. Signed for it, but still shows as out for delivery on website. Guess he has to synchronise the details yet.

Ok, I'm just an old woman sitting in Austin TX checking on my iPad status too.

I have to thank all you posters here. This has been the most entertaining thread I've read in a long time. Most of you have a great, quirky sense of humor.

Thanks for all the laughs tonight. Sure helped pass the time.

Enjoy your iPads!

Erm.

"Delay Due To Routing Error. Recovery Actions Underway."

Sounds bad, doesn't it? From being in my city since 0450, it has now jumped back 180 miles.

My delivery is with UK Mail but status hasn't changed since yesterday afternoon...

Still says delivery is today but it's a little concerning.

Anyone taken delivery of their iPad in Bristol from UK Mail yet?

Not fussed about quick charging, I only ever charge overnight anyway. I think I'd reassess my life a little if I found myself getting through a full charge in a day.

No, UKmail isn't Royal Mail.

You will actually find the cheaper services provided by UKMail actually use Royal Mail to deliver, they simply pass it on to Royal Mail once they recieve it at the local depot.
