The New iPad Pre-Order Status Thread (UK) - All Models

Just taken delivery of mine from TNT in EC4A. Came from the London City depot. The TNT tracking website updated to say "Out for delivery" at 13:30 - almost exactly the same time as the driver turned up. It had been on "Shipment Received At Destination Depot" before the update.

Unusually (I've had a lot of packages delivered to work over the years) this was the first time a driver has parked up and given me a call. Normally everything gets received through the mail room.

Guy was driving a small unmarked white van (which had numerous stickers on it saying it only carried internal mail). He claims that the London City depot alone received 5,000 iPads overnight for delivery today.

It's safely locked away now until I head home tonight!

You'd think that if you Pre ordered, your package would arrive before regular folks are able to breeze into an Apple Store, Best Buy, etc, and buy one. I could've done just that, and be using a new iPad by now.

Typically, two minutes after I said that, the doorbell rings.

Mine arrived at around 11:07 this morning (to work, near London Bridge).
When I picked it up from the office courier desk, they said that they'd received a pretty big shipment of iPads, so obviously lots of pre-orders from our people!

It's gorgeous and the screen is stunning

Mine came with 100% charge and I'm typing this on it now, without ever having connected it to a computer

Three of us work in the same office and ordered same day - guy 10 feet away from me had his delivered by UPS at 9am, mine by TNT at 10.30am and the guy 10 feet away from both of us by yet another delivery company about half an hour ago, all with the same address but three different delivery companies.

It seems I've got an "old" iPad – only 92% charged. But I'm not complaining.

UPS 64GB with smart cover, me 32GB no accessories, other guy 64 GB no accessories, so I suppose its the different specs.

TNT delivered my iMac at around 9pm last year.
