Ordered immediately after keynote, but still says "Processing" this morning.

I called Apple and everything was fine and on schedule. My co-worker who ordered at the same time has his sitting in Nashville already (we are in Atlanta).

Same here. There's no rhyme or reason. I wouldn't worry.

I'm on the same boat as you, I ordered mine the evening of the 7th and am still "processing" it hasn't even prepared to ship, meanwhile my dad ordered one on the same account and has already shipped and arrived in Alaska. I trust that it'll get here on time it just gets aggravating to see no progress

ordered an hour after the keynote and got my shipping notice from Fed Ex this morning (32Gb Verizon) and just like I thought my iPad has been stateside in Ontario CA the entire time.

Im in LA area and about 50 miles from Ontario so the wait until Friday sucks but I noticed that it's listed as Priority overnight shipping so I'll have my iPad by 10:30am

As soon as I got the "shipped" email from Apple, my tracking number had all the details too.

My FedEx tracking still shows an estimated delivery date of March 12th before 3PM (THAT'S TODAY!!)

I also have a Florida bound Black Verizon 32GB.

Got the tracking number Saturday, and it didn't show any info until I checked this morning. First and only scan so far was 11 last night in Nashville.

I received my shipping notice at 9:46 this morning and it's being shipped via FedEx with a delivery date of the 16th. The tracking number currently shows no information but it starts with a 5.

I preordered the white nonengraved 64GB wifi Ipad on 3/09 between 10:00 and 11:00am (I don't remember the exact time) and received an email confirmation at 12:11pm. When I initially placed my order, it said that it would be delivered on the 16th and it still says that although it has not shipped yet. It is currently in the "Preparing for Shipment" status and has been in that status since the 9th. I live in Florida.

Same story here in Dallas. I called this morning and Apple said everything was fine.
I don't believe them.

Got noticed that my Ipad has shipped, with a tracking number. It's 1 64gb Verizon 4g. I noticed it's coming from Middletown , PA, I'm in Western Mass. I wonder why some seem to be coming from China and Some from Here in the States...

Mine's shipped and is being held in Ontario, California at the Fed Ex depot. Frustrating to know that it's less than a couple hours drive from where I live and yet I won't get it until Friday. Most my FedEx deliveries go through here and it is usually less than 24 hours for delivery.

Shipping dates have just slipped to 2-3 weeks, and I still have not ordered. Lol looks like I'll be heading to an apple store on Friday.

Mine was ordered at 9PM EST on Mar 8th and got preparing for shipment in 3 hours, which was great. It's still stuck on preparing for shipment though which makes me believe that this page is not the most accurate.


As others have mentioned, I'm not worried about receiving it on the 16th, but it's just so much fun tracking the updates.

If you’re one of many lucky pre-orderers, your new Retina Display iPad may already have been shipped off from Apple’s factories in China and may, in fact, be sitting in your own state, waiting for delivery. We know ours is.

If so, you might think that there’s a strong possibility that your new iPad will come sooner than Friday, March 16th. Fat chance.


We’ve heard a few reports from readers who have contacted their local shipping agent, asking when they can expect their new iPads to be delivered. These readers all have new iPads that are already sitting waiting for delivery in their home states.

Unfortunately, even though the iPads may be located just a few miles away, shipping carriers like FedEx are powerless to deliver them. Why?

Because Apple has the new iPads locked up in their own private 18-wheeler trucks. These trucks are on FedEx property, and entered into FedEx’s system, but FedEx has been told that Apple will not unlock these trucks until Thursday evening.

In other words, if you’re counting on having your new iPad slip through the cracks, there’s little chance of that. With the new iPad, Apple is taking a tighter rein on the delivery process than ever. I wonder if by the fourth-gen iPad, Apple employees will be delivering it to you themselves
