Ordered about 2 pm on Wednesday.
 
64 gb AT&T ordered within 30 minutes of preorders going live.

Just got my shipping email. This morning it was "Processing". This afternoon it was "Preparing". And now she's "Shipped". :)

(My 64 Gb Verizon shipped yesterday, but was ordered 2 days later)
 
I ordered one shortly after announcement, but cancelled it to change credit cards.

The second one I ordered that evening maybe 6pm PST. It has finally shipped, 32 GB Wi-Fi.

It is coming FedEx Express 1 Day Service with delivery on the 16th. I'm extremely happy it is FedEx Express. They are pretty reliable in my area and MOST of the time even come by 12 Noon.

Ditto on all points including model. Just no info entered into the Fedex system yet to see where it's actually coming from. Guessing it's in the US.

Only after they've made one attempt to deliver and were unsuccessful. The undelivered package goes back to the FedEx place and you can pick it up, usually after 5 PM. If you don't, they'll try again the next day.

FedEx policy:

If FedEx's first delivery attempt of a shipment to a non-residential address is unsuccessful, they may make two additional attempts on the following two consecutive business days. If a package still cannot be delivered, FedEx may hold it for two additional business days and may research its status with the sender, recipient, or both, and receive further instruction. After that time, FedEx will return it to the sender as undeliverable.

But it is shipping "Indirect Signature", so they might try to deliver to a neighbor. If you're going to be gone, you should let them know. The "door tag" option probably isn't a good idea.

Fedex won't deliver to a neighbour or leave it at your door, Apple requires a signature for their products!

For my iPad 2 I did the pre-sign option and when FedEx delivered it, they saw my neighbors outside and delivered it to them since I wasn't home. It showed on the tracker online "delivered to next door neighbor".

My iPad (white/64g/4G/AT&T/not engraved) has been in "Processing Items" since March 7th @ 4:00pm!

It might be part of the state-side stock and awaiting shipment in the next day or so... but it would be a relief just to see it change to shipping..... :apple:

Just checked again, says its in Nashville, TN, and estimated delivery says March 12th, but lower down it also says future delivery requested, so not sure if that means they've been told to hold it until the 16th.

Mine says the exact same thing, also in Nashville. I'm crossing my fingers but not holding my breath. :)

I ordered the white 32gb 4G AT&T on Friday. Apple said it would ship by March 19th. I just got an email saying it shipped today & ETA is March 16th! Fingers crossed! :)
 
Mine is sitting in Nashville. Im guessing the air port and that is only 15 miles away at most. Lol man I want to to pick it up. My delivery date is still the 16th though.

same here! I received my smart cover, dock, vga cable etc. but iPad not yet shipped. :rolleyes:
 
got tracking number for both of my iPads:

black 16gig wifi - tracking number not found

white 64gig LTE - sitting in Nashville

funny thing is that the shipping 16 gig shipped first. just got the shipping confirmation from the 64 gig.

A neighbor can sign for it, or an apartment manager. Says so right there on my FedEx tracking page. Click the little question mark near the part about requiring an indirect signature.
 
New to MacRumors!

Ordered a white iPad (16GB - WiFi Only) on the evening of March 8th and my tracking number was just updated this afternoon!

For reference, I am in South Florida and my iPad is sitting in Nashville, TN, with a delivery date of March 16th (before 3:00 PM)!

I hope this week goes by quickly!:D
 
Mine still says preparing to ship. However.. It no long says with Standard Shipping. My order now says next day shipping. I don't expect to get a shipping notice until wednesday or Thursday.

Yeah I got my smart cover and my camera connection kit will be here tomorrow. But still no shipping on the iPad. Just processing.
 
Mine has shipped and is scheduled for delivery by 4:30 p.m. on Friday. I can't wait!:D
